"...A local version of Prop 60 (which required condom use in sex scenes) was already passed in liberal Los Angeles back in 2012. Not only did it get majority voter support, but even the liberal federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the law as constitutional.
Guess what happened to the porn industry in L.A.? Filming of these perverted sex scenes dropped by more than 90%. Heres an excerpt from the LA Daily News:
The number of permits requested to make porn films in Los Angeles County has declined by an estimated 95 percent since the law took effect, according to Film LA, a private nonprofit that issues the licenses. The number of applications fell from about 480 in 2012 to just 24 through the first nine months of 2013. LA Daily News
The San Francisco Democratic Party also affirms the same will happen with Prop 60, saying it will only serve to drive adult film production out of state.
Objection: wont pornographers just move to another state?
They could, but legal options are limited, as California is only one of TWO states that explicitly allow porn to be produced. The remaining 48 states and the US Supreme Court have not specifically ruled on whether porn production is constitutionally protected activity, or whether it should instead be treated as prostitution.
"...The porn industry which, by the way, is a big supporter and patron of abortion clinics. If courts dont allow porn production to be banned, then lets pass whatever restrictions we can to help curb its damage to our society. Less sin is a good thing."

You seem “fascinated by sex.”
They moved. And they'll move out of state if this passes, so if you want to cost the state a bunch of jobs cause it's an unsavory industry you don't like, vote yes.
even the liberal federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the law as constitutional.
They upheld it cause they ARE liberal not in spite of it. It's not constitutional, it's none of the governments business. Nanny state.
If VD is a concern the much bigger problem is unchecked faggotry, not "actors" who are constantly tested.
Indeed yes. We all should be, which is why pornography is so heinous in its desensitization and degradation of the matter.
After reading the props I realize I cannot be a libertarian. I do not support weed legalization either.
I think Tom McClintock says it clearly, and succinctly, “Proposition 60 Lights, Condoms, Action: NO. This one proves there is no end to the minutiae that occupies the minds of todays public nannies — it requires actors in pornographic films to wear condoms. Enough said.”
