I disagree with Camille Paglia on almost everything in the political and social world, but I respect her. I could have a logical, reasoned discussion with her and probably enjoy it a lot.
She does not approve of the nonsense, “You said ‘All Lives Matter’, so you’re a racist” or “you criticized Obama so you’re a racist” or “you oppose Hillary so you’re a sexist” or the other stunts liberals use to shut down discussion. I doubt that I could convince her of my views, but I would know I had encountered a functional brain and I would come away from any discussion with a better understanding of the real issues. It’s always worth reading what she has to say.

Morals, ethics, honor, loyalty, the rule of law and human decency are all silly sentimental notions that can be used as tools but are never to be taken as guiding principles for their own actions.
