For a 6 month period in 1990, I was a member of a New York chess club, in which I was the only person who was religious. Most members were extreme atheists. There is a difference between regular atheists and extreme atheists.
Extreme atheists not only reject the existence of God, but deny the existence of the human soul. Extreme atheists believe that human beings are collections of atoms, and are not different from tables and chairs. They believe that love does not exist, as it cannot be seen in a microscope, and is a mental hallucination. They also believe that the human conscience does not exist, and what people call a conscience is a mental delusion, because we cannot see conscience with a microscope. The only reality from their perspective is material reality, and there is no other reality.
Then they should have no problem if others choose to rearrange their atoms.
And without God’s mercy, life is meaningless and becomes desperate.
These people are, in fact, jerks.
I think that’s a real stretch that an atheist does not believe in love or have a conscience. Statements like that make Christians looks idiotic and turn people away from us.
The ones at planned parenthood, fine. But not most atheists.
Similarly, there are Christians who work in some pretty depraved industries, including that one.
Keep in mind, this is speaking of the extreme materialists.
Theologically, it is about as frank an expression of the original sin that can exist.

I made a distinction between regular atheists and extreme atheists. Pure Marxists ideologues are pure materialists. They do not believe that love or conscience exists. They believe that all human relations are guided by power-relations, not love or conscience. I have met such people, and some of them may be teaching in a university near you.

There is going to be a side of Christians that WILL look stupid to the world. And here’s where Christians are right to make it plain that they don’t care.
To have some sense of love or conscience is one thing. To have a logical explanation for it that continues to support its existence as we know it, is quite another thing.
If an audience insisted on going down the road of “power” then one could rightly point out the power of God in a witness to them. There is a power in love; there is a power in conscience.
In my experience, the atheists I’ve known have all seemed to come in two flavors. The ones who are extremely intellectual and have slipped into a zone where their mind is closed to anything they cannot explain on a chalkboard, or those who lost their faith somehow. The second happens with a tough death hitting close to them such as the loss of a child, a nightmare war experience, cold cruelty visited upon them by a hyper religious neighbor or family member...etc. Something happened and they called on god and got no answer, or gods people were mean and cold.
Either way, their theology and expectations were terribly wrong.
The first is beyond hope without them getting touched personally by the spirit.
The second can be fixed by someone beside them walking the walk, and not being a pest, but just carefully leading them into the fold and into an expectation of what faith really is and isn’t.
Neither responds to being described as without conscience or the capability to love.
One can STARVE conscience and love through a wrong worldview. It would be like expecting a dog that you fed nothing but lettuce to guard your house.
It is why Dostoevsky stated that “Without God, everything is permissible.” There is no Good and Evil-—as Nietzsche noted when he stated God is Dead which meant that a “New” “value” system needed to replace Christianity or else you would get a Stalin, Mao, Pot who would make themselves into god and dictate “good and evil”.
Our Culture has been taken over by the Satanists in Hollywood and the Banksters-—on purpose—to “Kill Christianity”—that worldview because it is the ONLY one which gives dignity and worth and meaning to the least among us—the old, the unborn. It is the only worldview that labels slavery and pederasty and misogyny as “evil”.
To create a NWO, they need children to embed the toxic, vulgar, sexulized culture, so they remain puerile and immature, where killing babies is “Good” and a “Natural Right” as is sodomizing others.
It flips worldview in children who embed the above which creates an irrational (atheist) worldview where Up is Down, Boys can be Girls, Vice is Virtue——whatever “feels” good, is good. Atheists have no morality whatsoever. They make EVERY act “good” as long as they consent to it and little children can consent in their book. All humans are interchangeable drones—cattle to be used and culled and killed when they become useless to the collective. Individualism never exists in collectives/socialized countries so individuals have no Free Will and NO natural rights from God. (Our Constitution is non-existent with atheism—there is no God, so no Natural Rights (No Constitution/No “Justice” (virtue) System. It is a chaotic vice system.
Without Virtue, Freedom is impossible—no civil society is possible, so if they can destroy virtue in little children (make them know that vice is virtue), they will be just like the communists/atheists (Bolsheviks which the Zionists created and unleashed to destroy Christianity in Russia so they could get control and enslave ALL Christians (kill them or make them into drones/slaves).
The War has always been God v. the Temple of Satan. No person is an atheist. They have gods (demons)—they just reject the most rational religion in the history of the World which created Science and the Age of Reason—because they need evil people who can be controlled. Christians, who don’t fear Man, only God, can never be enslaved. That is why it is only Christianity which is being wiped off the face of the earth. All other religions are irrational and being used as dupes for Satan.
Your explanations do not go far enough. They stop before reaching blood redemption and evangelization, leaving an awkwardly placed civic “God.”

So true. Honestly, I think that is our biggest battle to get academia back to sanity. Without that, owning everything else is almost useless.
