I believe that there’s just a light since it’s so hard to make her look younger. But it does seem like something’s going on. Did anyone notice a clean up person removing anything from her podium after the last debate?
It was obvious she was often looking at the podium and reading answers. My wife pointed it out throughout the debate.
It’s just a light. She spent the entire week preparing and didn’t even do that well.
Silly....
No, the debates were rigged only in that Hillary knew beforehand the softball questions that would be fielded her way and in the event something went awry, the moderators would be quick with a lifeline.
For this to have happened. Clinton would have had to order her Secret Service Agents to prevent Trump staff from inspecting Hillary’s podium.
That alone would be a clear case of abuse of power, but for what ever reason, the Trump campaign denies that they were not allowed to inspect the Clinton podium.
Anyone consider an overhead projector aimed at her podium ?
“cooky alt-right conspiracy theories”
That’s what they always say when we’re over target with cross-hairs locked.
My wife, a political `angel unaware’ resolved it for me as we watched Hillary “debating” and giving her robotic answers: “She’s reading.”
Sometimes if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck—forget Uniparty and MSM trying to intimidate you by calling you a wacko Hobbit—believe your lyin’ eyes: it’s a duck.
She’s cheating to get every edge she can get because she’s a basket case, and they’re lying.
Trump is neither a moron or one who allows himself to be played. It is absolutely inconceivable that his peoplewould be unaware of a video screen on Clinton’s podium. She may have had access to some Qs beforehand, she may and likely was treated easier by the mods than Trump, but to believe she could have had such a piece of technology on her podium with Trump and his staff unawareis insulting to Trump and his people.
How dumb is the Trump campaign? Reckon they aren’t aware of any abnormalties? I’m
sure the same equipment was available to Trump but he chose not use podium prompts.
JMO
Didn’t I read somewhere that Hillary wanted to be able to bring a” modified” podium to the debates in order to “ offset the 10 inch difference in her height” ?
She also peered down at her podium numerous times during the first debate.
Many times, she would become hesitant, as if reading or listening to something/someone.
There are also rumors that she wore earpieces at both debates.
It doesnt matter. The entire reason for the institution of the debates is to induce a gaffe in the Republican candidate.Without that objective, there is no reason for the prohibition against notes, or even a notebook.
Without that objective, there is no reason for the moderator. A chess timer to control the microphones to equalize the time is all that would be needed.
We know that that will not happen, because the journoLIBs and DemoLIBs will collude to prevent it.
Trump did not have his light turned on. His podium would have looked the same as her had he wanted it.
The podiums were the same except one had a pile of shite standing behind it.
I think she looks down to hide or reset her wonky eyes. When she’s looking down no one can see her eyeballs.
It’s a light for a speaker’s notes. Trump didn’t use his.
Why do they need a podium?
Why do they need a desk?
Isn’t it supposed to be an ‘off the cuff’ type debate?
The only reason for podium or desk is to hold notes or hold the person up.
If one can’t ‘stand or support oneself’ for an hour or so etc etc etc.
One shouldn’t need notes unless a general script or list was put out prior.
Knowing the name of the 2nd ambassador to Bumfluch is not really all that important during a debate.
If the question is —What do you do if the ‘bigun’ is on the way— shouldn’t require notes or much thought from a bum in the street, much less someone who portrays themselves as being worthy to lead the ONE-TIME, strongest, stablest country in the world.
And if the ‘moderator’ is accepting random questions from the audience, HE/SHE/IT does not need a ‘fancy desk’, notes or teleprompter...all he/she/it needs is a stop watch and a muzzle if they continue to interrupt EITHER of the participants.
After all, the ‘show’ isn’t about HIM/HER/IT it is about the participants.
As I mentioned before, could she not have used a projector that was mounted high above the podium. Small ones are available I am sure, and her security people could have easily placed it during site inspection. Text could easily then be projected onto the surface of the podium, and turned off when anyone else approached it.
That said, I think it unlikely, but with Clintons you can never rule it out
.
Its a thin film teleprompter.
This technology has been around foe a decade at least.

It's not a "podium"...it's a lectern.
A podium is a riser...to stand on, with your lectern. Podium....as in podiatrist.
