On Tuesday’s”CNN Newsroom,” anchor Brooke Baldwin asserted that “there already are are term limits” on members of Congress. Baldwin said, “[L]et me just relay this to everyone, that apparently, from the Trump camp, there is another major announcement that Trump will make today as part of his pledge to ‘drain the swamp,’ we keep hearing ‘drain the swamp’ in Washington. He says, ‘If I’m elected president, I will push for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress,’ correct me, there already are term limits, so what does he mean?

I guess once she figures out which candidate will continue to allow killing babies in the womb, she never feels the need to give much thought to any other issues.

Based on this little flash of ignorance it wasn’t egg on her face that got her the job in the first place.

Thank you for referencing that article b4its2late. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Constitutional term limits for lawmakers at this time would probably be ineffective for the following reason. Corrupt Congress has, for many decades, wrongly been allowing non-elected bureaucrats in the federal system steal legislative powers, including state powers, to make rules and regulations for citizens, such bureaucrats effectively running the country imo.

In fact, if patriots worked with Trump to politically “force” Congress to accept responsibility for its constitutionally limited powers, then Congress would end up mainly managing the US Mail Service (1.8.7) where domestic issues are concerned.

In other words, in stark contrast to the idea of term limits, crook politicians would lose interest in DC and the states would probably have to look for citizens willing to become federal lawmakers.

On the other hand, since Congress’s main constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited duties are military and trade, then perhaps retired military personnel who still want to serve the country would regard being elected as federal lawmaker as an honor.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional interference in state affairs.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

I simply informed you of the parsing that can occur - it all depends on the meaning of term limits ....

She is stupid. She is (deliberately?) confusing term length and a limit in the number of terms that may be served.
