The real problem as I see it now, now that they have failed to repeal it, isn’t about what will replace it, its that the prices will never come back down in a deflationary cycle.

Patients are complaining of price
Doctors are complaining of low payments
Insurance companies are complaining of losing money

Everybody, everybody is losing out!

I heard that crazy libertarian guy talking about a plan that was catastrophic coverage only, then you buy the extras.... Problem I see with that idea is emergency rooms will still be overwhelmed with people who only bought catastrophic and end up going there with a splinter in their finger! I just shake my head and basically we’re all heading to the poor house with crap programs and overpriced insurance.

Lastly, we need to change the language. It isn’t healthcare, healthcare is what you get from your doctor. IT IS HEALTH INSURANCE and it costs more than your doctor.

Everybody, everybody is losing out!

Wrong,wrong,WRONG!

When all the dust had settled (which won't be for another few years now) we'll see that the Rat Party has won.

I like John Goodman’s ideas. He is the developer of health savings accounts.

Karl Denninger has correctly identified the problem - and the solution. But the medical cartels with their "secret" pricing who are sucking off all the money are BIG political contributors who have defenders on both sides of the aisle. Joe Manchin's daughter and her EpiPen scam should have been the canary in the coal mine for these crooks, but the MSM changed the subject pretty quick on that, before it could point back to Obama and Clinton.
