Hai! Yeah, in a way. I don’t really want to think about it for another week. I’m to report Nov.7 - right now we’re battening down the hatches because of two Pacific storms about to hit the Seattle area; helped dad make sure the generator is up to snuff and we hit the market to stock up on a few things.

What time does it get dark for you? My mother-in-law lives in Northern Quebec the Christmas time it gets dark around 3:30. I want to get her one of those Sun lamps, with the UV rays. I guess you get used to it but it is kind of depressing. Anyway hope you and yours are doing well! I apologize for typos I'm working on a tablet. Take care FRiend! 😀

Howdy, LUV!
A good enough day here. Definitely cooler than y’all were. We’ve been enjoying highs in the upper 70s the past few days. Wish we could get some rain along with it. A few wildfires have broken out and the potential for more is good. We’re bone dry in TN.
How’s it feel to know you only have a couple of weeks until you DON’T HAVE TO GO TO WORK ANY MORE? :-)

It feels wonderful! :)
I hope you do get some rain so there are no more fires. We had a bunch of them around our area when we were in drought mode, and it’s a scary time! I saw one of them close up and it was just racing across the pastureland. Came very close to the city of Midland!

My Uncles ship The USSFogg. It was a Destroyer. She took a torpedo and was pulled into The Azors for repairs.I don't know if any of his mates were killed. Nothing remains of her, she was scrapped for junk at Navy Ship Yard, Brooklyn,NY.

I figured it would. LOL! You’ve talked about doing this for a while and now you’ve done it. WOOHOO!
Yes, rain would be reeeeeally nice and there’s a chance for a LITTLE bit this weekend but it won’t be nearly enough. They’re talking about issuing burn bans if we don’t get significant rainfall soon.
No fires in our area yet but we worry about one flaring up at any time now. The fires that are burning now are up closer to Nashville but I believe they have them fairly well under control. No strong winds to make them take off.

Just be very careful when you burn trash. These things can start with the smallest of cinder or spark. Don’t want your home to go up! That would be awful!
I think I’m going to like being my own boss for a change. My son said the nicest thing when I announced it on Facebook:
“How many decades have you had to work the “Black Fridays” or the pre - and post - Christmas mayhem. I’m glad you decided to eject [a little pilot lingo for those in Rio Linda—my words, not his. LOL!]. Your sanity has more than earned it.”
I had 88 people “like” my decision so far...and over 40 comments, all of them very positive. I have nice friends...here AND there! And some are friends in both places. LOL!
