As the defections were building Saturday morning, evangelical leader Gary Bauer sent a mass email headlined, "Gary Bauer Says Values Voters Continue to Support Trump-Pence Ticket." "The ten-year old tape of a private conversation in which Donald Trump uses grossly inappropriate language does not change the reality of the choice facing this country," Bauer wrote.
Franklin Graham, who has not officially endorsed Trump, wrote a Facebook post that seemed to suggest evangelical voters should stick with the Republican nominee. "The crude comments made by Donald J. Trump more than 11 years ago cannot be defended," Graham wrote. "But the godless progressive agenda of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton likewise cannot be defended
The most important issue of this election is the Supreme Court. That impacts everything. There's no question, Trump and Clinton scandals might be news for the moment, but who they appoint to the Supreme Court will remake the fabric of our society for our children and our grandchildren, for generations to come." The message was clear: Stick with Trump.

The only people stampeding are probably people who never intended to vote Trump in the first place.
Very disappointing. Classic overreaction to a more than decades old incident.
No, Byron, we’re not all pussies like you!
He who is without sin.... Should apply right? It works for liberals.
I’ll listen to Byron York when he gets a decent haircut.
Evangelicals are a forgiving bunch unlike the hypocritical RINOS and Democrats. Trump apologized. Bill, Hillary, Joe, Arnold, etc. DID NOT apologize for anything.
GOP is finished. This is a damn presidential election. We have traitors and sell outs who turn on their own candidate within minutes of an old video surfacing of two men joking. They are lining up on CNN & MSNBC. They will lose. Duh.
And I will listen to him about 30 million years after hell freezes over.
GOP-E stampede, probably. But they’re democrats anyway.
The majority of us - REAL Republicans - are behind him 100%.
When Trump has lost Jonah Goldberg we’ll know it’s over.
FUBY
A few yapping GOPe RINOs, maybe. With tails between their legs. But they were never with us anyway. No spine to join the rebellion.
And they are going to Hillary because she is so sweet and innocent??? Har har de har har!
A stampede of several dozen GOP elites?
How will they defend themselves against the counter stampede of tens of millions of Trump supporters and voters?
Agreed, it was just their convenient out. The politicians will pay though.
So... what’s the over/under on that piece of pig offal, Mark Levin getting on his high horse about this Monday? I don’t follow his social media accounts any more, so I don’t know if he’s excreted about it yet.
I’ll be stampeding away from the GOP if Trump loses.
Pence should say: “If Trump goes I go”. Trump: “I’ll take you all with me.”
I don’t consider myself very religious, but hats off to the evangelicals. How many times over the years have the left, and the RINOS in the GOP, have accused them of being intolerant and not accepting of people not very religious? They came on board the Trump campaign in South Carolina and helped him sweep the entire south, and helped deliver the nomination to Trump. They understand that there’s one common enemy and it’s Hillary Clinton. They’re not backstabbing, two faced people like the RINOS. They committed to Trump in the primaries and are sticking by him in the general election. They know the survival of the country comes first ahead of their own interests. You would hope these worthless RINOS and globalists would see the big picture, but then again we know many of them were never on our side to begin with. Again, kudos to our evangelical friends.
Trump: “If I win I’m taking names”.
