I’m sure that he would like full Orthodox Christian prayers—in the name of the Triune God, and often also to the Mother of God and to the Saints—even less!! And he’s supposed to be Roman Catholic! Not!!!!
And we’re supposed to be the United States of America, with First Amendment rights!! Instead, we’ve turned into the USSA, where political correctness is supposed to rule even over God Himself!!!! Sorry, neither the state nor any public official can make themselves God!!!!

That is where you lost the argument. It's not a 1st Amendment issue, it is a theological doctrinal issue. Christianity cannot be Christianity without Christ. Christ Himself taught us to pray in His name. A Chaplain cannot pray outside of what Scripture clearly teaches.

Six Virginia State Police troopers have resigned their voluntary positions as chaplains following the implementation of a policy that bans them from referring to Jesus Christ in public prayers.
House Republicans blasted Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) for the directive Wednesday, but Kaine’s office said the police superintendent issued the directive.
