International governments have made a power play against Donald Trump by ratifying an international climate deal earlier than expected, effectively preventing him from canceling the deal as he has promised to do. The European Unions Tuesday decision to join the Paris climate deal will push the deal over the threshold for ratification; it will formally take effect in 30 days.
That means Trump, should he be elected president in November, could not cancel or renegotiate the terms of the agreement.
President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part of the deal. The agreement is nonbinding, so Trump would be free to ignore it if he wins the White House.

They’re scared sh*tless and must see the internal polls.
The agreement is nonbinding, so .....
lol
This will help elect Trump
WRONG!
Because Obama cannot unilaterally approve a treaty.
He THINKS he can. But whatever he signed has no force
Am I wrong in remembering that the Senate never ratified this treaty and therefor it means bupkis?
Does not matter if UN “ratifies” a piece of paper that the US Senate has not consented to in the first place,
they can wipe their collective a....s with it, it is not binding on USA to begin with
(it sure would be nice if the mass media would at least hire some people who’ve read the USA Constitution)
What would happen if we just “forgot” to pay our share of rent on that building on the East River?
Lyin’ king O’Bozo can’t ratify a treaty without consent of congress - it is null-and-void at the get-go!
There is no Treaty approved in Congress, so by our laws they can shove it.
Be nice if he sent them an eviction notice.
Another 3rd world commie organization opens their mouth against Trump.
Trump has turned on the lights internationally exposing all the cock roaches.
Hasn’t been ratified by the senate.
Who cares? The US can ignore it. Congress must approve treaties, not a unilateral decision by Obama, Trump can just treat it as another Executive Order and cancel it.
The writer of this article does understand. He says:
“President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part of the deal. The agreement is nonbinding, so Trump would be free to ignore it if he wins the White House.”
When did the U.S. Senate ratify this so-called agreement?
I hope Trump tells the EU to screw off.
On what evidence to they rely? Or is this about transferring wealth to third world countries directly from the USA citizens?
President Trump: Umm.. nope, we’re not going to do that, and whatcha going to do about it?
The deal was never ratified by congress and means nothing - except to Globalist morons.
