The Left is terrified of conservatism. That is why moderate Elaine Quijano repeatedly shut down Mike Pence last night and allowed Tim Kaine to repeatedly interrupt.

The Left cannot allow Americans to be genuinely exposed to conservative ideas - it cannot allow an honest, unfiltered debate to take place because it knows it will lose.

Now you understand why Kaine was rude, arrogant and smarmy. This is who the Left really is and they really do believe they're smarter than us and we're just too stupid to understand their true greatness.

In retrospect, Kaine's being the constant interrupter was an illuminating moment for America and it shone a light into the dark recesses of the Democratic Party and liberalism. Which most Americans find deeply repellent.

That in a word, sums up perfectly the 2016 election.

For once in a long while it was good to hear him all over the Left and he defended Trump pretty well today, lots of animation.

Why do Republicans allow themselves to be moderated by liberal lunatics?

the left is afraid of more than conservative ideas. they are afraid that their corruption and hijinks and lies will be exposed. they have to hold Justice FBI IRS etc to cover their tracks. i expect this to get quite bloody as so much is at stake - their jobs, their future prosecutions, the future of their party, etc.

Conservatism works.

Every time it is tried.

Kaine’s performance was the epitome of what ANY conversation with a Liberal becomes.

It’ like trying to kill an ant with a bowling ball. They only blabber incessantly, shout you down, continuously interrupt and lie so much that it ends up NOT being a conversation at all. It’s just like trying to reason with a 4 year old.

later in the program, Rush made the point painfully obvious that even if Trump is elected, we will never hear a mea culpa of any sort from journalism. They will only think they have to try harder. Rush had Pence on, and had a love-fest with him over Pence’s success at the debate, and his humility and humor at the position Trump had given him and the ridiculous response of journalism to the effect that "Pence won, so Trump lost.”

It could not be more obvious that the nation is ill served by moderators who, in these “debate” shows, are positioned above the candidates for POTUS (or even VP). Just think how different it would be if the “moderator” were a simple chess timer which controlled the candidates’ microphones and thereby equalized the time between the speakers. And each candidate had a laptop wired into an intranet so that both candidates would have access to an agreed set of images and statistical data and Power Point screens, and the ability to project them onto the viewers’ TV screens. It would IMHO be wonderful if that could be impressed forcefully on the FCC.

Until that happy day, Republican primary debates should be conducted on live Internet feeds so that the “moderation” would be done the way Republicans want it. If we had had that system instead of Megyn Kelly moderating, the course of the primaries would likely have been quite different.
