IT TOOK global negotiators a quarter-century to strike the Paris climate agreement, an international accord aimed at slowing global warming. The agreement represents the best hope for a world in which no one country acting alone can do enough to fight this global threat. Donald Trump could destroy the agreement with a stroke of a pen, and with it any hope that the world will keep the planets temperature within the boundaries scientists say are safe.
The Paris deal represents a major U.S. commitment, but it is not a treaty with the force of law. President Obama submitted the U.S. emissions goal; Mr. Trump could withdraw it just as easily. He also could deeply undercut or eliminate the basis for any future U.S. commitment. Mr. Trump has promised to rescind the Clean Power Plan, which obliges electrical utilities to reduce their greenhouse-gas emissions by cutting down on coal burning and increasing their use of natural gas and renewables. The Environmental Protection Agency drew up the plan using authorities that Congress gave it decades ago in the Clean Air Act. Mr. Trump could press the agency to revoke it or water it down.

My home town is purchasing its first all electric bus. The cost is $817,000 compared to a diesel at $400,000. They figure to make up the difference in fuel savings in 3 years, and over $120,000 in lower service costs.
I know I know, those figures are a joke. The number one kicker is, they brought a bus out and tested it and it wouldn’t climb a hill on the main bus route. Believe me when I say, a 63 year old man...me... can ride a bike up this hill without stopping.
How do we get the city mayor and councilmen to understand that not only is the electric bus more likely to produce carbon because the power is generated many miles from where it is used. Plus that there is no way that an electric bus is going to save $400K in fuel costs, and that it needs to be recharged every 130 miles for 5 hours will mean that they need 3 electric buses to do the job of 1 diesel.
THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE.....
AGW has to be in the top 3 most fraudulent scams in the history of mankind. As we both know, it was NOT about "saving the planet". Once the old USSR diminished as a threat to the alleged "free world", another scarecrow had to be erected to herd us into the New World Order corral. AGW won the contest. Although the low/no information 47% obozo worshipers never will catch on, thank God the truth is slowly emerging through the iron curtain of the grant money whores in the so-called "scientific community". East Anglia was the breakthrough and more is coming out all the time. Let me wrap by saying that Algore should not be serving drinks to fellow libturds in his palatial California mansion: He should be SERVING TIME!!!
From your lips to God’s ear!!
25 years. A lot of people have made a very good living for a long time from this hoax.
“A President Trump could wreck progress on global warming” and....?????
Reason #1 to vote for Trump/Pence....
WaaaaaaaaaPo continues to flail for traction - perhaps they didn’t see the one where a marked majority of the People don’t believe the science is as settled as the liars claim.
There is always that one guy in the crowd that ruins the ceremony by shouting out, “But the emperor has no clothes!”
Key phrase:
“The Environmental Protection Agency drew up the plan using authorities that Congress gave it decades ago in the Clean Air Act.”
Congress doesn’t have the constitutional authority to give an unelected, unaccountable bureaucracy the power to write law. Only CONGRESS may write law.
Absolutely correct, Dave.
We need to return this country to the Rule of Law or we're finished.
I cannot believe the WaPo came out with a Trump endorsement this strong.
Tsk, tsk.
