Russian embassy in Damascus shelled from terrorist-controlled area of Syria
RT ^ | 10/04/16

One of the mortar shells fired at the embassy complex hit the residential area, while two others landed near the embassy building, the ministry said in a statement. Nobody was injured by the explosions.

“According to reports, the shelling came from the Jobar neighborhood of Damascus, which is under control of the terrorist groups Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and Failak ar-Rahman,” the ministry said.

Jabhat Fateh al-Sham is the new name taken by Al-Nusra Front, the Al-Qaeda offshoot universally considered a terrorist organization. Failak ar-Rahman is a lesser-known Islamist group.

Moscow said the shelling is “result of the actions of those who, like the US and some of its allies, provoke the continued bloodshed in Syria and flirt with militants and extremists of all flavors.”

The ministry said Russia would take “all necessary measures” to return peace and security to Syria.

Oh I’m sure this will cause Putin to give up and withdraw all his forces, and invite five or ten million ISIS members into Russia as refugees.

If Al-Nusra is doing this that means we are doing this.

And folks say that Trump’s temperament would start a war lololol

If you’re saying the russians did little to help fight isis then you’ve posted the most wrong piece in months, maybe years.

Destroyed the oil trucks convoys that were fueling ISIS with money.

Outed Turkey as a supplier of thee funds and as a haven for ISIS members.

You think it’s coincidence that after 3 years, ISIS started to lose when Russia jumped in.

i’m SURE i read your message wrong.

Or you are completely wrong.

One does not have to love a ruler to think they efficiently and quickly neutralized a danger.

You can be damn sure they’re looking for “Made in USA” shells. F’n Obama. We didn’t belong there in the first place.

If the Russians have done so much, why are they still fighting in Aleppo? They started bombing the ISIS capital a year ago; have barely gotten anything in return.

Oh, this article is about Damascus? Well, that sure proves it, if terrorists are still bombing Damascus.

Why is Damascus still being shelled?

A lot of projection here:

“Destroyed the oil trucks convoys that were fueling ISIS with money.”

So, have Coalition forces. So?

“Outed Turkey as a supplier of thee funds and as a haven for ISIS members.”

Does anyone doubt ISIS is full of Russian-speakers? Maybe the shoe is on the other foot.

“You think it’s coincidence that after 3 years, ISIS started to lose when Russia jumped in.”

Coalition forces likewise stepped up their attacks with the attack in Paris last November.

And on top of that, Russia has killed more civilians than ISIS fighters.

Show off one’s condescension, nothing changes that.

Everyone knows Assad buys a lot of oil from ISIS; get off one’s soapbox.

The Assads are big buyers of ISIS oil, no one denies that.

Iran and Soleimani helped kill US soldiers in Iraq; Syria allowed Jihadists to have camps and plan attacks from Syria,

Sorry, those are historic facts and the Bush administration almost expanded the war into Syria.

Assad let terrorists go from his prisons so they could attack US Coalition forces in Iraq. Assad harbored Saddam’s brother, that is historic fact as well. Syria eventually gave up Saddam’s brother.

Obama should not have drawn down troops in Iraq but there is plenty of blame otherwise to go around.

Syria helped cooperate with the bombers of the US Marine Barracks in Beirut.

There has been plenty of persecution of Jews and Christians in Assad’s Syria.

Assad emptied out the prisons in Syria; so Jihadists could go fight against the Americans. This is all well documented.

Russia says ISIS bombed their jet over Egypt; so they go after Rebels unaffiliated with ISIS? Russia may well have bombed their own jet; to get international sympathy. That has never really been proven.

ISIS is jam-packed with Russian speakers, Omar the Checen, troops with a Russian-version Koran, it is the second most spoken language in ISIS.

Like it or not, when ISIS kingpins get hit; the coalition and US forces are the ones who do it, not the Russians,

Russia is just helping Assad fortify his position, they have done little against ISIS.
