Asked how "his" plan will not add to the debt, Kaine notes free college, business plan, and tax relief to the middle class. Trump's plan, in contrast, is "you're fired", and elimination of the minimum wage. Easy to tell which demographic Kaine is going for, and that demographic has no care about the federal debt.

So, moderator pivots to Trump's tax returns and loss carry forward.
