Ohio said it plans to resume executions in January with a new three-drug combination after an unofficial moratorium dating to early 2014 and blamed on shortages of lethal drugs. It said it will return to an approach it previously used to execute dozens of inmates.
The state will use the drugs midazolam, which puts the inmate to sleep; rocuronium bromide, which paralyzes the inmate; and potassium chloride, which stops the heart, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction announced Monday in a development first reported by The Associated Press.
The drugs arent compounded and are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, state Assistant Attorney General Thomas Madden said at a federal court hearing.
The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the use of such a combination in a ruling last year regarding Oklahomas execution protocols.

It can’t be that difficult, many, many people OD on drugs every day.
why is the death penalty so complex in the US?
bullet to the head. Fall. Die.
As far as ways of killing, when I was in psych after my TBI, (for about 2 weeks) I was in a room with a bed with rails and had a sheet.
I told the doctor, someone who was suicidal could hang themselves easily in between the 15 minute rounds.
She looked at me and said “Mister, I see five ways a person could kill themselves in this room”
I never figured out any of them besides the one i mentioned.
Was a pretty sparse room.
I went in because the pain from the TBI had lasted and was so brutal i was getting bad thoughts.
But they became bearable and those beds are for people who needed it far worse than me.
Maybe they should use a veterinarian. Mine was able to humanely euthanize a 100 pound German Shepherd with no trouble. They didn’t charge me for it either.
It broke my heart when we euthanized my dog when i was 17.
I was tough but that hurt! As I’m sure yours did.
But it’s painless and peaceful.
And I care more about the animals than i do these death row folk
Pretty soon it’s going to be less complicated to do minor surgery than to put someone to death.
Will need a team of fifteen doctors and 12 nurses!!
Just have them breathe pure nitrogen. Quick and painless.
Lebron’s idea?
Hypoxia has a whole range of symptoms not of them quick and painless. I don’t see what’s wrong with the good old fashioned tried and true, quick, and relatively painless bullet to the heart. Bang. Dead. Problem solved.
Seems like a waste of money to me, more tax increase.
The feral inner city demographic seem’s to take care of business when they choose to.
According to the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, in humans, “breathing an oxygen deficient atmosphere can have serious and immediate effects, including unconsciousness after only one or two breaths. The exposed person has no warning and cannot sense that the oxygen level is too low.”

Just turn all prisons into a Thunderdome
Interesting.
These condemned have nothing at all to worry about. Butthole Barry will commute their sentences before he leaves the white hut.
Yup, charge admission and they'd pay for themselves.
Reggie Love trips are running out.
Hanging is not cruel and unusual punishment. All these experiments from the electric chair to various drugs are.
Pb.... ‘nuff said.
Put them to sleep just like any surgery patient, then turn off the oxygen.
My 2 cents
O2
I’ll bet that faggot POS Kasick doesn’t let it happen.
Technicians replacing oxygen tanks accidentally tried to attach nitrogen tanks. Since the fittings were NOT compatible, to avoid such errors, the technicians replaced the fittings to make it possible!
