Come on down to Lakeland on Oct. 15th. Lake Mirror Classic in, and around, downtown Lakeland and Lake Mirror. Expecting over 800 cars this year.
3-6”...that’s an afternoon thunderstorm.
If the current track holds up, then HH will get a ton of rain and probably heavy winds. There is a lot of time between now and Friday PM/Saturday AM for things to change.
The hurricane force winds extend out only 35 miles from the center of this storm presently. Tropical storm force winds (39 mph - 73 mph) 175 miles and that’s mostly on the east side of the storm. On it’s present course it will be gusty and rainy along the coast of FL...afternoon thunderstorms in Florida are worse. Of course all bets are off if it continues westward ticks.
I think God figured the allies did a quite sufficient number on Germany, in WW2, so He had no need to pile on.
Just my guess...
Well he sure did on Japan. Twice.
[[Germany is an economic power in Europe. Germany is also unified. Twelve people paid with their lives at the end of WW2 for all they caused plus some doctors and military. Maybe twenty four all told for all the suffering they caused. Then there were those who escaped to Argentina.]]
Germany did not unify until all those Nazi leaders were dead. Now they got another east German for a leader and Merkel is destroying Germany.
Hitler sided with the muslims (there were a bunch of muslim SS units ) and now Merkel is again hugging muslims .
German banks are in trouble now because the Germany economy is totally based on their exports and the other economies are not doing so . Germany has spent a lot bailing them out and they are not getting better . Germany is not doing near as hot as people think they are.
Yeah a lot of the Nazis ended up in Argentina and the Perone and the mess he caused their and so did the Argentine people who took in the Nazis . They did not have it so hot either.
A lot could change between now and Friday-Saturday.
Given the current models, it looks as if you’ll be in for heavy rain, flooding of low-lying areas and beach erosion along with a pretty stiff breeze that could knock a few trees over.
It could be less severe than that, if the storm veers east out to sea. It could be more severe than that, if the storm makes landfall near Hilton Head.
Your grandkids will need babysitting even if you’re all evacuated inland to a hotel. I’d still go, if it were me. But, be prepared to leave if evacuation of the island is advised. Might want to look into hotels just in case, they get booked pretty far inland when a hurricane comes in.
Well whatever happens it will be interesting to watch.
Why is Deutsche Bank now the biggest worry in the financial world?

Pray for mercy , that he does not give us what we deserve.
I am so glad that I did not get what I deserve . . .
You anywhere near Green Cove Springs? A good buddy of mine lives up that way.
Yep. I am right across the river and south a few miles from Green Cove Springs in St. Johns. GCS is my closest post office so I am over there a few times a week.
[[I am so glad that I did not get what I deserve . . .]]
Me too
He is so merciful to me
Well, OBVIOUSLY Governor Scott planned this all because he HATES Black people, or Latinos or Cubans or something!

Stay safe. This does NOT look good for anyone in the path.
That’s awesome that your house did not suffer damage. So, just curious as to those who have perished in other disasters - did they not pray enough? I am sure there were some strong believers in Katrina that died. I’m sorry, but terrible things happen everyday to people who don’t deserve it and the other way around. I believe God can protect us, but I also believe terrible things happen that there are no answers for.
It’s not about not praying enough .
Sometimes it is just time to go home.

Thank you for posting this. I was trying to find out how wide the storm is. Accuweather is predicting 39 mile an hour winds here on Wed afternoon, which we wouldn’t even notice. We get thunderstorms windier than that. Our house is about half a mile from the most Eastern point in the US (on Singer Island). I can see the ocean from here, so if it’s coming here, it’s coming HERE. That 35-mile wind field from the center makes me feel a lot better. Thanks again:)
