The entire federal gubbermint is illegitimate.

The States need to gather not for a Constitutional convention but a Nuremburg-style tribunal. We've had 8 long years of a marxist muslim coup. There are so many outright TRAITORS in Washington D.C. that need IMMEDIATE JUSTICE .......There are other ways to handle our current predicament but they are not nearly as pleasant.

the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, said there’s no evidence that Syrians are more dangerous,

than Afgan terrorists
than Pakistani terrorists
than Somali terrorists
than Chechen terrorists
than Saudi terrorists

This would even then have to go to the USSC. Rotsa ruck getting the attention it deserves before it’s moot anyhow.

“If residents of states believe that these Syrians are a clear and present danger that would be a basis for a break-up of the Union.”

I’m with you in that. If the federal government is stopping us from being able to protect ourselves by not having dangerous people in our communities, we need to be free from that government.

The first revolution was actually caused by much less.

Maybe Governor Pence should Invoke the Kelo Decision, and Begin SEIZING the Private Property of Federal Judges and Federal Employees for “Economic gain” for the purpose of Housing Syrian Refugees.

Honestly, what is the point of even having States or State legislatures? Federalism is dead. Utterly dead.

Washington D.C. and unelected judges rule over the entire country. We may as well remove all state boundaries and laws.

I’ll remember that Congress did nothing to thwart any of this.

I'm sure we all will, for a long time. I don't think it's a question about remembering, though. The question we need to be asking is, what are we doing, or going to do, about it? The answer to that, I'm afraid, is nothing, outside of pissing and moaning about it.

What I don’t understand is this:

Since the Constitution calls for a limited Fed gov’t, how is it that the Fed gov’t has authority over the states except for what is specifically enumerated in the Constitution?

Why don’t the states get together and tell the Fed to go pound sand, that their Fed rulings are null and void, meaningless, and just do what they have the Constitutional power to do? Is it because of funds? Is it a case of who has the strongest weapons, the Feds or the States?

In either case, the Feds operate illegally until the states exercise their rightful Constitutional authority to reign them in.

show me the resettlement plan to return the refugees back to their home country and the costs involved in that versus sheltering in place in safe zones

show me under the Constitution how shipping criminals to out of state prison facilities is any different under the argument given that one state would be sloughing off undesirables to the detriment of another state

show me the Constitutional clause that says Affirmative Action can be applied to refugees

show me the short-term and long-term costs to the taxpayer of each state for Quartering refugees

then we’ll think about it

“Federal law does not allow a governor to deport to other states immigrants he deems dangerous,”

The Constitution does not give the federal government the authority to do anything in this area. Oh, but it does say that anything not spelled out in the Constitution is reserved for the States or the people. So, stuff your no “deportation” ruling.
