In an unapologetically frank open letter, published to a Facebook page called Trek Against Trump, "Star Trek" actors, directors, producers, and crew members expressed their political stance that Donald Trump represents the opposite of everything "Star Trek" stands for and should not be allowed anywhere near the presidency.
"We cannot turn our backs on what is happening in the upcoming election," the letter reads. "Never has there been a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the Star Trek universe as Donald Trump."
The letter was signed by J.J. Abrams (director of the 2009 "Star Trek" reboot), Scott Bakula (the captain from "Star Trek: Enterprise"), Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry (son of "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry), many members of the late Leonard Nimoy's family, and many more.

You mean Lennier?
And Walter Koenig showed in B5 he could do something other then look and sound like a Slavic Beatle! He was quite good as the villainous - Alfred Bester.
B5 rules!
World net (nut?) daily just published an article stating Hillary’s biggest secret is the fact she is a homosexual. apparently it is an open secret in the upper echelon of the left and right.
at least they should all move to other countries, preferably more aligned with “Star Trek values”..... they could start a commune in Guyana..... call it “Jonestown II”
I love that photo. Don’t lose it.
Babylon 5 is looking even better - and it spawned Jerry Doyle’s conservative/libertarian talk show.

“Im only a doctor!”
Engineer Scotty ~ Dammit Jim! I am an engineer, not a political analyst!
Go, Trump, GO!
Hey, you star trek idiots up your meds. The “star trek universe” is a fantasy...i.e., it doesn’t exist. What worthless fools. How many of these morons still live in their mother’s basement?
No more Trek for me either. I’m a lifelong fan and I am done. I’m even selling the damn crap I own related to that garbage. It’s not a lot. A couple Blu-rays and a limited edition pinball machine I’ll be more than happy to trade for something of equal value.
I’ve flat out had it supporting these frigging dress up and pretend types financially. They can all rot on Rura Penthe. I used to cut them morons slack and laugh at their overinflated sense of self worth, but not anymore. Screw them. I know my support isn’t even a minor scratch in their profits ... I just hope more like minded people stop spending hard earned cash on these dweebs and these dopey, brain-dead actors and directors start to realize that they make no money off liberal flakes and basement dwellers.
“Issue them red shirts.”
Yes, you could always tell they were the ones that were going to get it.
I hope so. Gene Roddenbury's Star Trek is simply a futuristic global Communist world government. Never are there any references to election. Capitalism was mocked in the form of the Ferengi. So Trump does and should stand in stark opposition to Star Trek's ideals. Ideals that in real life have led to the murder of countless millions.
Star Trek’s phylosophy is non-christain to say the least
B5 is the best sci-fi TV show.
Firefly could have possibly given it a run for the money if it had been allowed to live.
Space Above And Beyond was good and of course killed off just when it got interesting.
correct this are mere performers who are trying to push their leftist ideals on cultural mythologies.
(see “the power of myth” by joseph campel or “the hero’s journey by the same author”)
I figured as much.
in the original series they had a wedding, multiple references to god, and one episode that specifically referred to the Son of God.
“They assume the stupid masses will keep paying”
Yes, they do. The fact that they have the hubris to do such a thing, without the slightest thought to the probable consequences, gives you a window into the strange world these people inhabit.
Chase Masterson needs to call me, I can set her straight,
And Nicole DeBoer can go back in the Cube.
These people do not realize what losers they are in reality. Only about 20% of Americans self-identify as these progressive liberal morons. Maybe they’ve been able to recruit a few snowflakes under 0bama but they are still a small minority in this country.
The problem is, these morons are like a cancer to our culture and have invaded so many aspects of influence, like the government, media, entertainment industry, education, etc, and like a religious fanatic, they want to spread and advance their agenda. Their corrupt culture of influence keeps them from understanding their ideology is already a failed ideology.
The last 50 to 100 years of them pushing a big government statist agenda, run by them has failed with the massive debt they’ve help to accumulate and especially under their statist savior, 0bama. Much of the rest of America has figured out why their ideology has failed all of us but because their culture lies and deceives about it, they will be the last to know.
Sucks for them, not really, they deserve all the scorn for the damage they have helped bring to this nation and then some.

The Star Trek universe:
1) Earth nearly destroyed in a nuclear war caused by elitist eugenics-created globalists, who rule with drug crazed soldiers.
2) After these “supermen” leave, government is replaced by ruthless authoritarian judges with unlimited power.
3) Only when a single scientist innovates a new method of space travel, do benevolent aliens arrive to help clean up the mess left behind.
4) The end result is a one-world government that would fall apart without alien backing. Earthmen are used as soldiers in violent conflicts with alien species over a vast area of space.
Oh, hell yes. A lovely future.
