NEW YORK (AP) -- Donald Trump says he took the moral high ground at the first presidential debate by not mentioning the infidelities of former President Bill Clinton. But he hinted at them, talked about them immediately afterward and then sent his campaign's top backers out to do the same.
"An impeachment for lying," Trump said Thursday at a campaign rally in New Hampshire, referring to the effort to remove Bill Clinton from office for lying about his affair with Monica Lewinsky. "Remember that? Impeach."
The Republican nominee's decision to dredge up the former president's sexual history is a risky move in his campaign against Democrat Hillary Clinton, whose own team isn't fazed by the attack line. Trump critics say it could backfire, elevating her in the eyes of female voters and motivating her base.

While I rather like Trump taking it to the Clintons I believe this whole area is a major distraction from so many issues where HRC stinks. It is turning the election into Jerry Springer Show. I hope he takes hits back on this but pivots to her terrible record in everything she has touched. It is to Clinton team advantage to throw mud even if it’s not true, hoping some will stick in uninformed minds. I hope she gets stomped. This isn’t the path to stomping her as long as they control the narrative.
A Trump rebuttal to the Clinton ad showing her in the many phases or her evil life “she was always for the children”. What about the rapist Hillary got off back in her wretched youth scott free for raping a 10 year old and she laughed about it

Hammer her on being a Goldwater girl and going against the civil rights act. Go after her for killing an African of color Muammar Gaddafi after he had his hands up and then laughing about it. Go after her for stealing the Haitian’s money. Go after for defending a rapist against a 12 year old girl and then again attacking women who had been raped by her husband. This should be in Trump Ads now until the end of the election.
It’s the youngsters...This bit of new will not faze those of us who went thru it...But the young crowd is ignorant of the impeachment and they should know...It can only help Trump...

What I’ve been seeing more or less everyone on tv say is......Hillary can say whatever she wants about Trump but!! If Trump says anything about Hillary it’s mean and turns people off.
I say he should go for it.

And that’s a lie.
He was impeached for lying under oath. He was disbarred from the SCOTUS and the Arkansas supreme court. He was also found in contempt of court by an Arkansas judge, which he didn’t contest.

I agree, and in the debate he should ply the subject by asking Hillary questions rather than making statements that Hillary can simply not respond to or call him crazy.
Hillary’s past is a target-rich environment. Trump should be concentrating on her, not Bubba.
He needs to stay focussed on HRC, not the rapist. Others can beat up the racist. He also needs to give some uplifting speeches about OUR dreams for America.
Yeah, Bill’s not going to be on the ballot.
