I am not a gamer developer, much less a VR one.
I always say, if you want to work like a slave, work at a gaming company. LONG hours, LOW pay. Everyone *thinks* they want to work for a gaming group. I know better.
My lead 3D developer just resigned to take a position as senior developer at a gaming company. He has been building an application to playback sorties (and do pre-flight briefs) for my project. We have the initial aircraft and terrain models up with multiple camera views. It's not a game. It's real aircraft on line. Perhaps too much pressure.
