ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
But they didn’t have wireless microphones?
THANK-YOU in SHOUT OUT for a job well done!
I say this despite the concern trolls. :) =^..^=
¡ANERICA!
Yeah, that was a headshot left in the chamber...
¡AMERICA!
And there were definitely a lot of them on the thread last night.
We still up?
More:
“We have to have law and order in poor neighborhoods, because otherwise no one will start successful businesses in those neighborhoods. Without those businesses, the situation will not get better. Do we want all these citizens on gov’t support forever? That gives politicians like Mrs. Clinton dependent voters, but it does not solve the problem.”
“Citizens including blacks who are confronted disproportionately by police officers, are usually confronted because they are in neighborhoods with disproportionately high crime. The high crime is often due to too few good jobs, and / or drugs. On whose watch have these problems continued to fester and grow?”
“Secretary Clinton and her allies continue to blame the 2008 recession for this pitiful non-recovery that has gone on since then. Not only does she not understand or completely mis-state the reasons for that fall, her plans to revitalize the economy depend on acceleration of policies that have been failing for almost a decade. “Staying the course”, as Ronald Reagan did so successfully, is one thing. Compounding folly is another.”
“Secretary Clinton apparently has forgotten the success of President Reagan’s economic policies, or failed to learn from them. My memory is somewhat better.”
“Now, I have disagreed with the Bushes about many things, but George W. Bush’s tax cuts were NOT the reason for the 2008 recession. To state that they were demonstrates, at the least, ignorance of that situation, and of why the economy does or does not succeed.”
“Secretary Clinton keeps using static analysis of the economy, and class warfare — she’s quite good at starting wars, you know — when what is needed is dynamic analysis, and understanding of what creates good private sector jobs.”
“Secretary Clinton talks about “togetherness”, but spouts class warfare and the race card at every opportunity.”
“Secretary Clinton’s stated gun control policies would take decades, if not longer, to have any significant effect on gun violence, all while abridging the rights of millions of law abiding citizens. On the other hand, stop and frisk gets guns out of the hands of known criminals. It works. But Secretary Clinton seems to have a strong aversion to things that work.”
“If Secretary Clinton thinks a one time appearance before a Congressional Committee is hard work, requiring real stamina, she has no idea what real stamina is. Maybe she should try starting a small business, and dealing with all the government regulations, to find out.”
“It is true that Secretary Clinton visited many countries. Most of them are laughing at us.”
“Secretary Clinton has been in government all her life, so she can hardly be faulted for not understanding how businesses succeed, and provide jobs. Sometimes it seems she would be happiest if all employment depended on the government, especially if she and her cronies get to keep running it.”
“We have a very corrupt system. I am going to kick out a lot of corrupt people. What is your record, the last 8 years, Secretary Clinton?”
“We had a huge failure... How many people did you fire after Benghazi?”
It's the transmitter and battery pack for the label mikes both of them are wearing.
Lester Holt is wearing one of them too. Here he is adjusting it at his collar and left lower back.
Huh?
Well, I never said they were sane! LOL. But yes, they were unhappy with Holt.
They’ve had a purge of the Sandernistas, and have to cheer for Hillary, otherwise they risk being booted; that might have something to do with it as well.
"If she wins, America is over and we'll become Venezuela"
vs. "If she wins I would absolutely support her"
- There has to be a lie or radical cognitive dissonance in there somewhere
Why not counter with: "If she wins, I'll still support and defend America?"
I didn’t know he had a bullet-proof vest on. Does he wear one all the time?
Yeah, the lights could’ve been hotter than during the primaries. I just figured with the sniffing, he had a cold, maybe a sore throat.
Better yet, Trump could have said something like “My comment was directed toward her attitude, not her physique. Now if you assume the latter, perhaps it says something about you. While you consider that, you are also are welcome to compare me to Secretary Clinton, who DESTROYED women in order to politically protect her husband.”
(Maybe Trump could just have one or two of the Clinton’s victims as his front row guests!)
I think Trump won. The most memorable moment was when he said, “No one called Hannity!”
He nailed that biased moderator bigtime.
It was the most exciting political debate I ever heard even though Trump held back his punches.
Hillary tried to take him out and the funny thing is that there is no way to make anyone look more sleazy than the Clintons — no one on earth. In the long run that’s a rabbit hole. A few tweets, and it’s deflated.
But Trump used his time to discredit the moderator [making it clear that this was a two-on-one fight] and at the same time he dominated the issues of ISIS, IRAN, our national debt that results in third world airports, unfair trade, etc.
Hillary shored up leftist support, but then Trump pointed out that the DNC betrayed Sanders.
** Her leftist support is a ‘sanders-castle’. **
But IMHO Trump needs a new element in his debate coaching. He had no comfort zone mantra. He needs quick, confident retorts handy when they sully his business practice. He needs to look at Hillary and see a clown without actually saying it.
Tony Robbins’ empowering system would help. Onf of Trump’s friends should study and impplement parts of it. That’s the Clintons’ secret weapon.
“LESTER HOLT: THE THIRD DEBATER...
Asked Trump 6 follow-up questions, did not ask ANY of Clinton...
Interrupted Trump 41 times, Clinton 7...”
Asked Trump 6 follow-up questions, did not ask ANY of Clinton... Interrupted Trump 41 times, Clinton 7...Drudge
Thank you for telling me that, as I am clueless about it. Thank you for doing that last night. I thought it was great.
It was like old times for our little group last night!
I see the true Americans rallying around Trump and Pence. Cruz is the start.
Would love to see the others really go all out for him and with sincerity!
