Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who during the Republican presidential primary called Donald Trump a "pathological liar," endorsed his former rival on Friday in a lengthy statement explaining why he is now "honoring" his pledge to support the GOP nominee.
"After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump," Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.
"Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way," he added.
"I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz. We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent," Trump said in a statement.

I have thought that Cruz was a pouty brat, and really lost all respect for him. No character in breaking his pledge. This is a good turn-around for him.
I could use a good laugh.
I’m having trouble getting to that site.
Would u post a link?
A good many who had been anxious enough to get out of the Trumpslide felt quite differently about being left out of it. And of course whenever any one #NeverTrumper announced that he had made up his mind to ask for permission to vote for The Donald, the ones who hadn't said this felt that they were getting fewer and more uncomfortable.
So that before the debates with Hillary had begun several people were positively "sucking up" to the Alt-Right and Reince (at least that what what they called it in my state) to get a good report. And soon there were only three left who didn't want to vote Trump, and those three were trying very hard to persuade others to vote with them. And very shortly after that there was only one left. And in the end he began to be afraid of being left behind all on his own and changed his mind.

The Cruznadian aka Mr. Goldman Sachs is still a loser.
Ted can still ESAD.
It sure was and you are 100 percent correct, although there is certain person on this thread who just doesn’t get it.
Quick ,someone change Beck’s poopy diaper ...
From now on, bashing Cruz is bashing a Trump supporter.
Yes, absolutely. The one thing I’ve learned about Ted Cruz this election cycle is that Ted Cruz is only worried about Ted Cruz.
If he had been the man of integrity he pretended to be he could have done a great service teaching Americans about the great protection afforded by the natural born citizen clause. Exposing the Kenyanesian Usurper by explaining why children of foreign nationals are ineligible.
Foreign national parent(s) bequeath foreign citizenship(s)
You are so full of it.
It does not say born of citizen parents. It says clearly born of citizen parent(s)
Notice the opening bracket ( after parent, and the closing bracket ) after the s for parents. Which means either Mother or father who ever is a natural born citizen.
Good to see. I think that this will help Trump consolidate Republican support and go from about 85% to 90+% which can make all the difference in this election.
Born here of citizen parents.
No other possibilty of being anything else.
Solely an American.
No foreign influence on the Presidency is what John Jay said in his letter to George Washington insisting on the term natural born citizen.
No foreign birth
No foreign parent
No foreign citizenship
You got it. Unfortunately they who do don’t and it will be their loss
Finally.
Minor vs Happerset 1872:
“it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.”
I was one of them.
Good on Ted Cruz!
Graciously accepted!
Maybe we can get Anthony to send Beck to the “cornfield”.
I have explained it to you so many times. Why are you so stubborn to insist in being so ignorant. His mother was born and raised in Delaware. She did not give up here American Citizenship for Canadian Citizenship because she did not live long enough in Canada to qualify.
