DONALD TRUMP EITHER LIED TO THE REPUBLICANS OR BROKE THE LAW (EXCLUSIVE)
Newsweak ^ | 09/23/16 | KURT EICHENWALD

Donald Trump committed perjury. Or he looked into the faces of the Republican faithful and knowingly lied. There is no third option.

It has become an accepted reality of this presidential campaign that Trump spins a near-endless series of falsehoods. For months, the media has struggled with this unprecedented situation—a candidate who, unlike other politicians who stretch the truth, simply creates his own reality. Trumps regularly peddles “facts” that aren’t true, describes events that never happened or denies engaging in actions that everyone saw him do. He utters his falsehoods so fast that before reporters have the chance to correct one, he has tossed out five or six more.

This time, it is different. Trump can’t skip past his perfidy here. There are two records—one, a previously undisclosed deposition of the Republican nominee testifying under oath, and the second a transcript/video of a Republican presidential debate. In them, Trump tells contradictory versions of the same story with the clashing accounts tailored to provide what he wanted people to believe when he was speaking.

Exactly .. it’s what the DemocRATS always do .. they tell you exactly what they’re doing .. except they forget to use their own name .. and instead add in some other name of anyone they want to get rid of.

Classic Clintonian actions: Everybody does it.

And .. they think you’re stupid enough to buy it.

Good grief, what passes for journalistic writing these days? My high school journalism teacher would’ve flunk these goons before they finished the first paragraph. You should be able to cut any paragraph in a story after the first and still have a story that tells you what you need to know. I stop reading if they don’t tell me the subject by the third sentence at least...

Didn’t News Leak go belly up a few years ago?

In any case, until their obviously preferred candidate, St. Hillary of Chappaqua, Knight of Ft. Marcy Park, etc., etc., etc. is proven to be a person who has always told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, then I’m not paying any attention.

This is all transparently an effort to take our attention off of Shrillary, the dying, lying Witch.

Ok the article says

“...Under oath, Trump said he did want to get into casino gambling in Florida but didn’t because he had been cheated by Fields. ...”

Jeb speaking here to Trump @ the debate:

“”The one guy that had some special interests that I know of that tried to get me to change my views on something—that was generous and gave me money—was Donald Trump,” Bush said. “He wanted casino gambling in Florida.”

Trump interrupted Bush:

Trump: I didn’t—

Bush: Yes, you did.

Trump: Totally false.

Bush: You wanted it, and you didn’t get it, because I was opposed to—

Trump: I would have gotten it.

Bush: Casino gambling before—

Trump: I promise, I would have gotten it.

Bush: During and after. I’m not going to be bought by anybody.

Trump: I promise, if I wanted it, I would have gotten it.

Bush: No way. Believe me.

Trump: I know my people.

Bush: Not even possible.

Trump: I know my people.”

And in the debate snippet above, he and jeb went back & forth about it and Trump basically said the same thing, that he wanted to but ended up not doing it.

I don’t see what the fuss is about...

That’s exactly correct. I like Trump a lot, but I’m admittedly giving him a little more rope than I might normally considering the state of things and the alternative.

These clowns really think they are important. What a joke.
When is the last time they practiced journalism as opposed to BS bought and paid for by Clinton?

See Scott Adams.

Trump is not operating in a 3D universe. Therefore he wins.

So lets get this straight, Yeb was against casinos in Florida when Trump started speaking to him. Then after Trump stops pursuing this, suddenly Yeb is for it and Florida has gambling in its state.

Who really lied here? All fingers point to Yeb as the guilty party.

Did the article name any particulars?

Particulars? no. just insinuations. For example, they say that what he said at the debate with Bush differed from what he said in court so either he lied in court, or he lied when he debated Bush.

From what *I* gathered by the article, he didn’t lie in either direction. He just simply didn’t push for gambling in Florida, but if he HAD (my personal impression) he would have been successful.

It seems he made an effort to ‘game’ the system by paying off Bush through contributions in order to change gambling in Florida, but the ground work couldn’t be done due to the issues with the man he’d sued. But that if he wanted to push it, he could have. And, he COULD have by hiring someone else to take his place, which the article didn’t touch upon. So, yes, if he wanted to change anything badly enough, he could have.
Therefore, Trump wasn’t lying!

I KNOW people in my meat world who are a lot like Trump. And when they say that they want something to go THEIR way, it’s because they most certainly do want that, and when that’s the case, that’s the way it happens. If it doesn’t, it’s purely because they weren’t pushing the issue. I have no reason to doubt what Trump said.

So, the insinuation was that he perjured himself in court, which he didn’t. It’s simply a type of mindset that Newsweek chooses to exploit for it’s own purposes.

Yep! Exactly, unshaved don't give a *bleep* take-it-to-'em fighter with a vision & plan to Make America Great Again is preferred to those primary exposed globalist uniparty pansy metrosexual do-nothing (or - what is worse! - do the opposition's bidding) dandies.*
