Ted Cruz endorsement of Donald Trump forthcoming: Report (WT)
Washington Times ^ | Sept. 23, 2016 | WT Editorial Staff

It seems like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has determined where his conscience is leading him, and it’s toward Donald Trump.

The endorsement could come as early as Monday, unnamed sources, close to Mr. Trump’s campaign, told Lifezette. “Those sources noted that Cruz has become seriously concerned about the long-term threats to the Constitution and conservative priorities, should Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton win the White House,” the online political site, founded by conservative pundit Laura Ingraham, reported.

Maybe he thinks Trump will put him on the Supreme Court

He wants to be able to say he supported Trump after his loss.

Support builds. It’s like money and interest. It compounds over time.

Ted waited until the last minute, so his endorsement means a lot less.

People stayed away because of him. Each one of them told others what they were doing. Those others were negatively influenced. They talked to others. The ripple effect was incalculable.

His refusal to support Trump at the Convention was huge. Now he wants to do it as a whisper, comparatively?

If Ted had endorsed warmly at the convention, all the people he impressed with that would have been telling others how they came to support Trump because of Ted.

Ted accentuated the negative and minimized the positive.

He is a major whack-job jerk.

He couldn’t figure out before this that it was vital to beat Hillary Clinton?

Honest to God, the man is a mental midget.

Better late than never, Ted.

I guess he wants to be on the right side of history.

Let’s see if he helps push Trump’s agenda in the Senate.

I was figuring on a Cruz endorsement on November 9. Looks like I’ll lose the pool.

Color me unsurprised. Never Trump was the biggest troll in the history of the internet. They’ll all be on the Trump Train by election day except for progressives like Romney and Bush.

Most of the “never-Trumpers” are establishment Republicans and they hate Ted Cruz too,,, they hated Cruz long before Trump even arrived on the scene. There are plenty of Constitutional Conservatives angry about Trump and his supporters treatment of Cruz, but their anti-establishment leanings that had them supporting Cruz in the first place have led most of them to voting against Hillary. Cruz’s endorsement will add some votes for Trump, but most of the never-Trumpers will remain unmoved.

He had his chance at the podium of the convention where he damaged the party in his own interest. He can go to hell.

You never know maybe it was always a part of the plan.

Unlike some freepers I still have some respect Cruz. He was our lone voice many many times against the machine.

I’m glad Trump will be the President because I personally feel he is the only candidate that could stand up to the Clinton machine. Trump has loyal friends he can count on. I don’t think any other candidate could have been as effect since I think most of the hired guns they would have had to hire would have been compromised.

I hope Trump wins in a landslide like has never been seen before.

These guys bought the BS hype the MSM was feeding them.

Positive coverage, interview slots on Sunday shows, and even praise from the Gope.

Now they see that they were losing money and support hand over fist, and that they were just pawns.

He thought his antics would blow over but the cuts were too deep and there is a permanent scar. His career is over and now he is eating crow to snake his way back into good favor.

This means that Ted now thinks Trump will win and is trying to hedge his previous bet.
