We now know why this is the case.
Iran's nuclear proliferation partner, North Korea, has recently turned the corner in Weapons Grade Uranium enrichment and the development of long range, nuclear tipped ballistic missiles.

What both Iran and North Korea need now is the billions of dollars needed to start production and the western equipment, hardware, instrumentation technical resources that were denied them under international embargo and sanctions in order to produce and deploy those weapons.
Obama's disastrous Iranian nuclear deal has provided the money and the economic and path critical technical resources for both Iran and North Korea to produce a credible long range offensive nuclear weapons capability in the very near term time frame while simultaneously economically propping those two regimes that were teetering at the edge of economic collapse ironically caused largely by the massive and irrational spending by both Iran and North Korea on their nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs
