As I was writing my new book on TWA Flight 800 --TWA 800: The Crash, The Cover-Up, The Conspiracy, now available wherever you buy books -- I wondered how Hillary Clintons success would affect the books.
On the up side, if Hillary were nominated, the book would be more relevant as she was at the quiet center of the action. On the down side, her nomination would increase the odds that a protective major media would continue to ignore the great untold story of our time.
The media run the risk of being the only adults who do not know this story. It began at 8:19 p.m. on July 17, 1996, when TWA Flight 800 left JFK Airport in New York bound for Paris. At 8:31 p.m., the 747 exploded off the coast of Long Island, killing all 230 people on board.....
Needing someone to work through, they finally found a fixer worthy of the number two position, a little-known DC litigator named Jamie Gorelick. With Gorelicks appointment as deputy attorney general in February 1994, Hillary had three women occupying the most powerful posts in federal law enforcement, criminal division head Jo Ann Harris being the third.....

It the darkest recesses of Washington certain women seem to be able to do anything and never be held accountable.
Hillary Clinton, Jamie Gorelick, Victoria Nuland and Lois Lerner for starters.....
Bill Clinton, near the end of the campaign, could not have it known that a shoulder fired missile took down an airliner.
The first report I heard was on CBS when they said that the Pentagon is reporting the crash of an airliner. That is the only time I heard the Pentagon mention it. Why would the Pentagon be reporting a civilian airline crash off the East Coast?
And...why would the CIA have produced that ridiculous animation....
In Washington speak, Gorelick is known as a “fixer”.
Flight 800 was at 13,700 ft when it exploded. The MANPAD with the highest range is the Stinger which reaches an altitude of 10,000 ft.
FIM-92 Stinger (1996 version) has a range of 26,000 feet
That is its range, not the altitude it will reach. I was confused about that point, too. I researched MANPADs for a book I am working on.
A Stinger might theoretically reach 13,700 ft, but probably not.
The book is a thriller. I wanted the bad guy to bring down a plane with a Stinger, but the plane would most likely be flying at 30,000 ft at that location. Even though the point from which the Stinger was launched is 4,000 ft, I decided to give the pilot a good reason to be flying low in order to be credible.
OK. At the time I remember someone talking about a two stage missile with an increased range.

It would be interesting to look at the location of the explosion and compare it with the altitudes of similar airlines taking off from JFK.
The U.S. Navy was undergoing pyrotechnic maneuvers on off the coast of New Jersey that evening. This was reported in the immediate hours after the explosion, and then removed and never mentioned again.
Coincidence?
Thanks. Great info.
Pierre Salinger immediately said that his informants stated that it was the US Navy.
Header spells it Cahill ... it's Cashill. As in Jack Cashill.
Yes, the Navy story was told right after the event by those involved. Back then, I was so used to the Clintonian tactic of making bad news disappear that I assumed the coverup was just to avoid involving his Presidency (and Hellary’s future goals) from being tarnished. Whatever happened to Louie Freeh? Wasn’t he complicit in their many cover ups?

...
There was a no conspiracy, but even the NTSB said a high end portable missile could have reached TWA800 from a relatively small radius underneath the flight path.
Perhaps the best witness, the captain of the Eastwinds 737, was positive he did not see a missile.
The center fuel tank explosion theory is pure BS.
It's the most probable cause. Many times more probable than a missile.
