Sunday at the Men’s Day program hosted at Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, DC, Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan said to President Barack Obama, “Your people are suffering and dying in the streets,” of Chicago, so “you failed to do what should have been done.”
Farrakhan continued by saying it is time to let Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump do “what he wants to because he is not destroying your legacy.”

Farrakhan considered Qadaffi a personal friend, and he recognizes when he is being patronized. I think he has been waiting for this moment for a long time.

There is no love loss between Louis Farrakhan and Obama/Clinton. They took out Muammar Gaddafi a friend
and financial supporter of Farrakhan. He (Louie) has not forgotten that. There was a video of Farrakhan asking his supporter NOT to vote for Hillary.

The Nation of Islam has always been explicitly nonpolitical, so he would never “endorse” a candidate. But having watched a couple of other interviews with him, I think there is actually some pro-Trump thinking going on there as well. If you imagine a continuum from Trump to Alex Jones to Farrakhan and how strongly Alex Jones favors Trump, it makes some sense.
I've been thinking the same thing. Not the welfare louts who want to be taken care of, but honest hard working folks who have seem their prospects for a piece of the American dream evaporate in the last 8 years. Those folks must be livid.

The city government signed a contract with a security firm run by the Nation of Islam, and they were so effective at dealing with the criminal element that the Chicago police eventually DID come back -- to respond to calls from criminals who were mistreated by the security guards.
One incident described in the article involved a mutant who was caught breaking into the apartment of some 90 year-old woman. When the police arrived, the guy was nowhere to be seen. They got a few tips from the residents, and went down into the basement to find that the guy had been stripped naked and was being flogged with whips by the security guards.
I still crack up over that. They sound like my kind of people.
“I visited the worst neighborhoods. I talked to the gangs. And while I was out there talking to them they said ‘You know, Farrakhan, the president ain’t never come. Could you get him to come and look after us?’ There’s your legacy, Mr. President, it’s in the streets with your suffering people, Mr. President. And If you can’t go and see about them, then don’t worry about your legacy.
WOW. I am shocked.
