Alerting the press that he would deal with the birther issue at the opening of his new hotel, the Donald, after treating them to an hour of tributes to himself from Medal of Honor recipients, delivered.
Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Period.
The press went orbital.
Trump Gives Up a Lie But Refuses to Repent howled the headline over the lead story in The New York Times.
Its editorial called Donald Trump a reckless, cynical bully spreading political poison in an absurdist presidential campaign, adding that Trump is the ultimate mountebank using a Big Lie that made him the darling of the wing nuts and racists and nativist hallucinators.
You get the drift.

The press seems really, really mad over that whole birther press conference thing.
I have to say, that while laying in the ICU bed after suffering a heart attack just the night before, it was HILARIOUS listening to how riled up Martha Macallum was over what Trump was going to say about birther stuff. Man, she was ruffling her porcupine quills all over the place talking with O’Reilly about it.
Then Trump comes on and the whole thing is Medal of Honor recipients talking about how deplorable they all are, and Fox has this worthless little banner under them the whole time about how Trump is going to talk about birther, and he says nothing until the very end, when he lets ‘em know in no uncertain terms, you just got PUNK’D!
And I laughed myself silly. I mean I couldn’t believe how smooth it was. Pure gold!
The people in the hospital must have thought I was loony tunes >;-D
Take care of that ticker. We need you too.
I’m trying, man. Believe me.
Right now my goal is to stay alive long enough to see Trump elected.
It don’t matter how much exercise you do, or how in shape you try to get, when your own systems start trying to take you out, things get real sketchy.
Whatever is gonna happen though, I started playing with the dog in the field and walking again today. I’m going to start inline skating again before the end of this week hopefully, and weightlifting again by start of next week, I’m thinking.
I’m a little scared of that, because the catheter went in through my wrist, and I lift with dumbbells, so little dangerous there.
Well, get the hell out of the ICU will ya?
I hope you recover very quickly.
Please do things gradually.
I’m out, I’m out!
I got out of the hospital altogether Saturday afternoon around 200 pm or so.
I made them kick me out early even though I probably should have stayed one more day.
Thank you kindly, little jeremiah. I really appreciate that.
I was actually in pretty good physical shape when this happened, and I think that has led to me being able to make a pretty quick and strong recovery. I feel pretty good right now.
Problem is, for whatever reason, on Thursday evening multiple blood clots formed and made their way to my stent and caused what was going to be a fatal heart attack.
That stent was reopened with a new stent in time for any muscle damage that occurred to be reversed.
Thing is, when doc showed me the 6-8 clots that had lined up in my RCA, it became apparent that the very fluid that keeps me alive is going to be the very same fluid that kills me. Ironic. I’m on thinners now until that day arrives.
But that’s alright, I’m alright. I’m going to enjoy my time doing the things I love with the ones that I love, and when I die, I’m going to go and see the ones who went before me and wait for the ones who will come after me.
I’m so sad to hear of your recent illness! Please take care. Don’t strain yourself too much with those dumb bells. Go slowly as LJ recommended! We want you to stick around here.
Yikes! Get well soon! I’ll include you in my prayers.
It made me happy too. I laugh every time I think of it. Trump is the GOP candidate we have been dreaming of. Most candidates roll over for the media attacks. Trump plots a counteroffensive.
Get you some Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar. Shake it and drink a cap full every day in a glass of water. If you can do a cup, then even better.
Look into Cayen Pepper, Nordic Fish Oil and flaxseed Oil.
Finally look into getting some Bio pqq to rebuild and strengthen you heart.
Good luck and glad you are okay.
Welcome back sir!
And lecithin and Ubiquinol.
Stay alive!
I like you!
:)
Be very cautious with that. And also, if you must, do like I did after I had rotator cuff surgery: start out with sissy weights and build up very gradually.
“But thats alright, Im alright. Im going to enjoy my time doing the things I love with the ones that I love, and when I die, Im going to go and see the ones who went before me and wait for the ones who will come after me.”
Wow, beautiful said. So glad you are recovering well. G-d bless you and your family.
Not moving to Canada, that I know
I used to take Ubiquinol just before this heart attack occurred, as well as krill oil.
I’ve got to check with some doctors with how taking these things might affect my blood considering I’m newly on thinners now.
One of my grandmas died from being on too many natural thinners, she didn’t tell her doc about them, and he put her on some other thinner, a blood vessel in her brain burst, and that was it. And she’s not the only one on my mom’s side who has did from such a vascular occurrence in the brain, so I’m a bit worried about that.
I talked with my brother this evening in depth about what happened. I told him if I check out that he must come and get Isis the German Shepherd. I’m writing him an Isis instruction manual. If I am gone, I want her with him and my nephews. She’s got to be with my men.
But I’m really worried about that in particular, because the last thing I ever want to do is not be here with her. She, for some reason I do not know, adores me, and the thought of me letting her down by dying hurts.
So, considering that and a few other things, my goal is indeed to stay alive, at least until she goes home, then I feel safe to go to.
I really appreciate your kind post, Salamander. You are an awesome lady who LOVES dogs, and that makes you the best kind there is in my book.
Whenever my number gets called, I’m going to the Rainbow Bridge I keep reading about in various posts around here.
I think I’ll hang out there for an eternity or two.
