We rarely get to hear them “tell their side” in court, which I’ve always thought was suspicious in itself.

I was amazed at how fast Timothy McVeigh was executed. Most people seem to spend 20 years on death row with appeal after appeal. With McVeigh is was darn close to: "Guilty! Take him out and hang him!"

Highly unusual.

Hillary: This was a peaceful Muslim protest, not a bombing, I repeat, not a bombing. Please go back to sleep with me America.

Yes, it really was unusual.

There were some rather strange connections in that case, IIRC. That the media never followed up on.

Exactly.

McVeigh was one, but there have been others. The San Bernardino shooters, for example. Americans never got to hear from their own lips their motivations and reasoning, which I'm fairly sure they would have revealed at some point in the proceedings.

I suspect that their words would have been very injurious to the upper precincts of the political class, and for that reason I can't help wonder whether they were the recipient of a permanent gag order from those who wish to bring millions more of these to our neighborhoods..

#34 IIRC McVeigh waived all his appeals.

Probably not a good example re. Timothy McVeigh. He voluntarily dropped his appeal chain, which would have taken years, then the judge had him verbally confirm to the court. The execution was promptly scheduled and carried out.

Especially after the Feds kept thousands of docs from his defense team.
