There is a line, even for journalism, where you do open yourself up to LEGAL ACTION.

If CNN had simply edited out Hillary saying it was a bombing and NOT highlighted how Trump and Hillary reacted ‘differently’ (i.e., just showed Trump calling it a bomb and Hillary saying that we need to wait), that would be unethical, but not actionable in my book, as there’s only so much that can be shown in a clip.

But that NOT what CNN did. They literally CHANGED THE HISTORY of the reactions for the purpose of setting up an attack line on Trump. This has LAWSUIT written all over it, as far as I can see.

As a strong supporter of the First Amendment, I am loathe to have ANY gubermint control of media content. But when a purported "news" outlet makes an overt effort to alter the news, a line has been crossed. What we have here is an in-kind campaign contribution. With a free and independent press, the other outlets should fall on the Clinton News Network like a pack of jackals. Then this would be a self-cleaning process. Sadly, I doubt that will happen.
