What Monsanto has is a strategic asset just as oil is. It is a company with huge market share. Regardless of company's reputation or other problems, I am somewhat suprised to see U.S. let it go.

I would suspect some politician got rich over the deal.

Bayer and BASF are the ones that built Auschwitz. They wanted free labor to make drugs. This nation is under the thumb of the globalist crime families.

I heard it may not go through. It has to be approved by the EU, which has banned GM food. They don’t believe Bayer will control it.

... I am somewhat suprised to see U.S. let it go.

This has yet to pass regulatory scrutiny, thus not a done deal! Watching Fox Business' Wall Street program last night and saw them give this only about a 40% chance of passage as a complete deal. In terms of regulators, due to the scope of both companies, they listed 5 hurdles; US, EU, Canada and Brazil? Don't know what the 5th was but 5 regulators is a high reach.

Monsanto apparently has a guarantee from Bayer of $2billion if the deal is stopped. Stock price of Monsanto is $20/share UNDER the Bayer offer so there is not a great amount of confidence in the market traders for this deals completion.

When one multi-national, quasi-governmental entity absorbs another it is inaccurate to use the term “capitalism” to describe the event.

The libs will have to redo all their facebook graphics about Monsanto killing everyone. “Bayer” just won’t sound as evil. They’ve got their work cut out for them if the deal goes through.

Bayer HealthCare will invest around €100 million to considerably expand its production capacities in Beijing, China, in preparation for an increase in the demand for its products there. Bayer CEO Dr. Marijn Dekkers signed an agreement to this effect during the visit to Germany by Chinese President Xi Jinping. The planned capacity expansion is designed to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products from Bayer HealthCare, particularly in the areas of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, to meet Chinese domestic demand.

Bayer plans to acquire Chinese Dihon Pharmaceutical

Bayer has signed an agreement to acquire Dihon Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., Kunming Yunnan, China, a privately held pharmaceutical company specializing in the manufacture and marketing of over-the-counter (OTC) and herbal traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) products.

The acquisition will strengthen Bayer’s presence in China. Dihon is a leading player in China’s OTC industry with products such as Kang Wang™ for the treatment of dandruff and other scalp disorders and Pi Kang Wang™, an antifungal cream, as well as TCM product Dan E Fu Kang™ for use in various women’s health indications.

The transaction is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions, including merger control clearance, and is expected to close in the second half of 2014. “We aim to strengthen our Life Sciences portfolio with strategic bolt-on acquisitions globally. We are very pleased to have identified a consumer health care company in China with such a strong track record of success built by its dedicated employee base,” said Bayer CEO Dr. Marijn Dekkers.

I’ve been screamin’ from the rooftops about this for a few decades, now. If you don’t or won’t learn to grow at least SOME of your own food, you are going to be hurting.

Bayer. Too Big To Fail. Grrrrr!
