A majority of Texans oppose building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and banning immigration from countries with terrorism ties, two of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's most high-profile immigration proposals, according to a new poll by the Texas Lyceum.
Fifty-nine percent of Texans surveyed said they were against building a wall to stop illegal immigration, while 35 percent supported the plan.

Apparently they surveyed 15 people in San Antonio. 6 of them were from Tiajuana.
It is more or less San Jose East.
No they don’t...all the ones I’ve talked to want it.
Austin Texas is the liberal cancer spot of entire state.
Apparently they surveyed 15 people in San Antonio. 6 of them were from Tiajuana.

And the other nine were from the sandboxes in the Middle East.
Sounds like the data sample came exclusively from San Antonio’s SW side.
Did they poll anyone in border counties or only residents of Travis County?
*******************
Sounds to me like that is exactly where they polled.
From the printed article: “ A June poll by the Texas Politics Project at the University of Texas found that 52 percent of registered Texas voters support building a border wall, and 53 percent support banning Muslims from entering the U.S”.
The Lyceum poll includes illegals and registered voters. It is obviously slanted to get the desired results. I suspect that even the TPP project was probably slanted in the same direction.
51% of people with piercings at the Austin Starbucks, maybe.
Sure, I got your poll right here.
One word to this rag newspaper....”HOGWASH”!!!
LOL. Okay, I guess that means Hitlery will win Texas.
What did they do, poll Austin and landowners along the border?
Picking a liberal story/byline somewhat at random...have you noticed that all these so-called reporters look like they graduated high school yesterday?
Nobody is going into journalism except the true believers (read: young leftists) because the pay is horrid and will remain horrid due to a dying advertising/circulation model.
This means only the ideologues are interested. Google any byline from ‘reporters’ at CNN et al and you will see the same thing: a load of selfie-taking idiots congratulating themselves on working for a brand name without mentioning their pittance of a salary.
Somewhat incredibly, these neophytes are regularly called upon to write on complex political and economic stories despite an almost total lack of formal or informal knowledge of the subject. But their schooling has been strictly of the Marxist variety and they haven’t been out of school long enough to be mugged by reality.
They often compensate by seeking the extreme ends of any story. For example, a blurb about a new bar opening will be accompanied by irrelevant carping from MADD or the police about DUIs. In J-School they were told this represents ‘balance’ but it’s simply more of the (unnecessary) polarization they claim to abhor.
Shorter version: hiring the ignorant and printing their ignorance can only produce more of the same.
... based on phone interviews with 1,000 Texas adults regardless of their citizenship or voting status...
IOW, extended berating (interviews) with "adults" (no ages given) regardless of citizenship (illegals) or voting status (Democrats).
Pure, unadulterated BS from The People’s Republic of Austin.
They did not poll this Texan that’s for sure.
They were polling along 6th street this weekend. Basically that includes UT Students, Austin libs and every bridal shower looking to get their ick on.
In other words, they polled liberals and still only managed 59%.
Pure baloney. Texans want the wall!!!
