'Star Trek: Discovery,' originally planned for a January rollout, will now air largely outside of the broadcast season. CBS Access will boldly go where no streamer has gone before. It's just taking slightly longer to get there.
The over-the-top hub for the broadcast network, which will launch two original series of its own in 2017, announced Wednesday that its new spin on Star Trek will launch four months later than originally announced at the request of the creative team. Bryan Fuller's Star Trek: Discovery will now premiere in May

Good Trek?

How much will they pay us? It better be a LOT.
I think the series has encountered cost overruns, hence the reason why it was delayed four months.
Heavens knows we’ve seen enough “Star Wife”
I like Star Trek, but no way am I going to pay a streaming service just to watch a new Star Trek series that probably will suck anyway. It will be on Netflix in a year or two, I’m sure, and there is plenty of content already on Netflix worth paying for.
CBS Access is the absolute worst streaming service I ever tried. Literally 2 minutes or more of commercial every 7 minutes.
Unwatchable!
It will be Gay Trek. It’ll be the first one I won’t watch.
pay $4 more per month extra for commercial free :)
Lots of trans-gendered and hermaphroditic aliens, and one member of the crew, like spock and data before, will strive to become something more, perhaps even achieving self pregnancy - in one episode, I’m told, said alien literally f*cks itself. The crew’s 5 year mission will be to seek out strange new life, and perform gender-specific space abortions.
It’s all very exciting. I’m told the new ship will have two massive engines that look like penises.
A bad Star Trek tv show. You would have thought after Star Trek Enterprise they would try to do better.
The Good Wife was an excellent show. Here’s hoping the spinoff is as good.
With a guy like this in charge, what could go wrong?
Admiral Sulu
Had to look it up on Wiki:
“A month later, Kaden clarified that the series would feature minority, female, and LGBTQ characters, with the latter being of particular importance to Fuller.”
I’ll enjoy missing it entirely. But then, I liked the original series when I watched it in the 60s, as a kid, and enjoyed about 1/2 of the movies. Never developed an interest in the spin-offs, and the rebooted movies - “Kids in Space” - just seems stupid.
It will be on streaming internet hours or days after broadcast.
Homo Trek. And Tranny Trek. Pedo Trek?
That wasn’t an option for me when I tried it. I do pay the $4.00 extra for Hula commercial free.
Bryan Fuller’s a gaysha. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s connected to foam part Bryan Singer.
“A bad Star Trek tv show. You would have thought after Star Trek Enterprise they would try to do better.”
Their rampant, preachy liberal BS was always the worst thing about Star Trek, from day one. Now that they’ve become more confident at bleating their perversions and garbage, I suspect it will finally go over the line and make the show unwatchable.
“At least one gay character!” cries the ads. Oh, good. And here I was WONDERING what TV characters DID with their penises.
