One expert witness, Paul Rosenzweig, predicts fireworks during the First Panel:
"I will be testifying as well, but on the second panel—the fireworks will be on the first panel, I'm sure."
The first panel will include many in favor of multinational oversight for ICANN, and the questioning will likely get hot.
While many in congress trust President Obama's plan, Paul Rosenzweig noted: "The Chairmen of the four relevant committees (Senate and House, Judiciary and Commerce), however, have called for the administration to reconsider its decision."

While the Second Panel might not be as fiery I hope to obtain a transcript of Paul Rosenzweig's testimony.
His articles in Heritage have been published all the way back to 1977. He's one of those wicked-smart kind of guys who Wikipedia frequently mentions and yet I can't find a page in Wikipedia that covers his bio. [Do they fear his intellectual firepower that much?]
He's been deep in Homeland Security and Cyber-Security for a long time.

What Paul Rosenzweig thinks:
He's suggesting a compromise: a trial period to see how things work out before permanently releasing ICANN to international control. He's also been offering suggestions in the planned 'accountability' process which Obama plans.
So Rosenzweig is an insider. And this is his opinion:

How about this: they skip the hearings and skip the fireworks, and just STOP it. Is that too much to ask?
I trust him to oversee this as much as I trust him to negotiate a "free trade" deal. Or as much as I trust him to negotiate a nuclear deal with one of our worst enemies. Or as much as I trust him to design a new healthcare system.
His goals do not align with my goals or the goals of the American people. We should not allow him to negotiate or design ANYTHING on our behalf. Conservatives and patriots in Congress should do everything in their power to prevent him from doing any more damage to the country.
Europe’s Establishment had been in a panic for the past two years. And sure enough — Merkel is losing power in Germany and the British Establishment got ‘shlonged.’. In the meantime Europe’s media and police are rebelling against news suppression [aka ‘hate speech’ rules and laws].
They sensed it coming and Obama remains delighted to implement their suggestions.
Besides, China wants to suppress speech as well. And ICANN is holding secret talks with them.
I believe that the only way to get Obama to sign that contract renewal form is to impeach one or two of his toadies and work up to him. Even then he might just dare them.
That would increase awareness.

Trying to save the internet from globalist oversight is not a waste of time. The waste of time comes from those who trust Obama.
As to how to stop Obama, those four concerned chairmen must first increase public awareness. Without that, there is no way to move forward with impeachment. It requires a powerful mandate.
And time pressure can work for us. We have a ticking clock.

That Powell sure sounds like a gossipy blabber mouth, doesn’t he? I’m shocked that Paul Ryan would recalibrate at such a time (I’m not). Ryan is such a massive part of the problem, it’s not funny. Just getting rid of him as Speaker would fix so much of what is wrong...

So it is less than 3 weeks away, and they are just now having a hearing? What for? Footage for campaign commercials? This is DC. What can be accomplished in time? .
Cruz was no where last few months, then 2.5 weeks before this is to be lost, he reappears. Color me not convinced.
