The problem for them these days is Facebook Live, Periscope, and Snapchat. It could have been a live broadcast and confiscation would have made for even worse optics.
A couple of the SS agents, or campaign operatives, seemed most concerned with physically blocking camera angles.
Technology has advanced to the point the event is broadcast instantaneously. With Facebook Live, Periscope, and Snapchat it’s too late to confiscate a cell phone with a camera, it’s already been sent to the masses.
Under what pretext would they confiscate his property?
