Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Kaine, a practicing Catholic, on Saturday described his evolution on same-sex marriage and predicted that his church would change its views as well.
My full, complete, unconditional support for marriage equality is at odds with the current doctrine of the church that I still attend, Kaine said at a dinner celebrating gay rights. But I think thats going to change, too.

The Catholic Church needs a Trump Pope.

That gave me a chuckle. But there is some truth in what you say.
No, the Church will not perish. The Gates of Hell will not prevail against it. False leaders will perish.
Under the current pope, he may be right.
Kaine needs to fill the space Hinckley had in the mental hospital.
How many Catholics will vote Trump on this comment alone????
I am NOT Catholic, but I do NOT wish for ANY church to support ‘gay marriage’.
I’m Jewish, but I think that I understand Catholicism better than Kaine does. Because this is a biblical prohibition, it’s impossible for the Church to ever condone it. (It goes without saying that if they don’t condone pre-marital sex and birth control, they’re certainly not going to condone homosexual behavior.) They can be compassionate, but they cannot affirm. It’s frankly not clear to me how any religious institution can affirm it, but that’s another issue. Also, the Church believes that homosexuality is a psychological condition and that, if anything, the science affirms the tradition. How can Kaine not be aware of the tenets of his own Church?
Strange why Catholics would vote for her, knowing her tactics.
Catholic women will vote for her in droves, because they’ve bought the social justice bait from the 1960’s hook, line, and sinker...
