U.S. Sen. John Cornyn is declining to endorse fellow Texas Republican Ted Cruz for re-election to the Senate in 2018, just as Cruz did not back Cornyn for another term two years ago...
Cruz is facing the prospect of a serious challenger after he upset some Republicans by expressing no support for presidential nominee Donald Trump in July at the party's national convention. U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul of Austin, who has been urged to take on Cruz, has not ruled out a run...

TED IS A LIAR!! SARAH IS NOT.
I always find it remarkable that Cruzbots can only elevate their boy by denigrating someone else.
Ya’ll don’t know to much about Texas. In Texas if you insult someones wife there is going to be a fight. You may win you may lose, but if you don’t fight you lose the respect of your wife, and in Cruz’s case the people of Texas If Cruz would have endorsed Trump after he insulted his wife the people in Texas would have thought he was no better than a Yankee. Cruz will win Texas again the people in Texas love Cruz

I doubt seriously you'll see a repeat of the event pictured below from 2012 at The Woodlands, Tx.
I’m in Texas and NO ONE that I work with, talk to, go to church with, etc....as in friends, family or co-workers, like cRuz.
I supported him, even donated to his Senate and Prez campaigns....and I WILL NOT be voting for him. I don’t know ANYONE that is supporting him, for anything...not even dog catcher.
I FINALLY received my refund, from his campaign, months after they asked me if they could transfer it to his Senate campaign. I told them “Not just NO, but he## NO!”
I dunno. Maybe because she’s a Goddess and he’s a turd?
Wrong.
Most Texans supported him and voted for him in the primary. Most would’ve respected him, had he not pulled that bullshit @ the convention.
No one that I know supports him today. In any way, shape or form.
After all, he’s just following his conscience. . .
Ted Cruz did this to himself ... and hurt conservatism in the process. A sad outcome indeed!
Cruz is a nutcase.
I don’t find it remarkable at all. It’s standard strategy for those who realize that their candidate is without merit.
Cornyn is a worthless RINO. He has an “F” rating from Conservative Review and 49% from Heritage.
Feel the heat, Ted.
(Says this gal who was once a strong Cruz supporter. Yes, he had me fooled.)
Perry as US Senator will probably be OK.
***
Would that be Rick Perry, the pro-illegals guy?
Love your tagline!
I pray you are correct. There will be a mountain of pushback in store for Trump.
Not sure where you come from. But the Texas I live in, a man is only as Good as his Word. Cruz gave his and reneged. He could have endorsed Trump, acknowledging their differences BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY their love for this country and their despise of Hillary. He could have pledge his full and utter support and came out smelling like Roses. Proving that he is a BIGGER man than mere words. Doing so, he would have guaranteed being President one day.
As it is, this Texan will never again vote him, for his word me NOTHING and he is self worth has clouded his mind. Washed up and despised by millions.
Welcome to FR.
Mr. Cruz stood up to Washington like no other politician in recent history. Texas will remember that. Cruz took more heat than any other politician for standing by his principal. I disagree I am in the Houston-Beaumont area and people still support Cruz. You may not like what he did at the convention, but no one has shown more courage than him. If you truly want a man to fight Washington, this man has shown he will. People in Texas are not so butt-hurt by him not endorsing Trump that they will elect another Washington establishment candidate like that RINO Cornyn, who I do not believe will win again if he runs.
