The phrases religious liberty and religious freedom will stand for nothing except hypocrisy so long as they remain code words for discrimination, intolerance, racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, Christian supremacy or any form of intolerance, Martin Castro, chairman of the commission, said in a statement included in the 296-page report.
Religious liberty was never intended to give one religion dominion over other religions, or a veto power over the civil rights and civil liberties of others, Castro said. However, today, as in the past, religion is being used as both a weapon and a shield by those seeking to deny others equality.
In our nations past religion has been used to justify slavery and later, Jim Crow laws, Castro said. We now see religious liberty arguments sneaking their way back into our political and constitutional discourse (just like the concept of state rights) in an effort to undermine the rights of some Americans.

Once again, the leftists are the only ones who seem to know the code words not the people they claim are using them.
I’m fed up. I’m fed up.
These are folks who intend to re-write the dictionary to support their ridiculous propaganda. It worked so well in the past (think homo-agenda for example) but thinking Americans in our day recognize BS when they see it...
The correct course of action here is to immediately beat down any person making this statement. Beat their mouth and ask them to repeat what they said. If they do, Beat their mouth harder, and keep repeating until the SOB is unconscious or unable to speak.
The Muslims would just kill them, but we have to be better than that.
We are too polite, and too tolerant to beat the F*** out of people who desperately need it.
We need to change back to the way real Americans used to behave.
I wish Trump would consider closing the doors on the “Civil Rights Commission” and sending its employees to Northern Alaska.
Or Guantanamo.
The Felon running for office has said that religious beliefs MUST change.
Didn’t Henry VIII say the same thing?
Didn’t Caesar say the same thing?
Didn’t the Soviets say the same thing?
Didn’t ISIS say the same thing?
Time for one more Crusade...right here in the USA. Forget Islam. These Progs are the real threat.
Not Guantanamo.
Heck, if I didn’t have share it with Moslems, I might like to be sent to Guantanamo!
IOW, it’s okay for Muslims to cut off your head?..............
Not the original Caesar.......Nero................

That’s just his opinion...and his opinion is as valid/invalid as anybody else’s. furthermore, his statement alone is discriminatory.
Sorry, but when “civil rights” clash with natural rights, “civil rights” must lose. They are the derivative, and therefore, inferior rights. If you allow them to trump natural rights, then you lose all your rights.
“Civil Rights Commission” is code-word for stupid, ignorant, partisan, religophobic, jackarses
It’s way past time.
Way past.
I swear a report like this came out just a few years ago...
Anyway, what else would expect from a Castro!
Religious freedom used to be a civil right. Now it’s intolerance.
