A co-founder of Facebook is donating $20 million of his fortune to Democratic coffers in a late and likely consequential move to help defeat Republican candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. The funds are a surprising infusion of cash from an individual who has never before been active in politics.
Dustin Moskovitz, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur with a net worth of more than $10 billion, announced early Friday that he and his wife would make a historically large donation to a half-dozen Democratic groups, including those backing Hillary Clinton. The donations, once issued, will make Moskovitz the third most generous donor in the 2016 campaign.

I don’t understand why conservatives use Facebook.
Yes, it is their right to dictate whatever communication rules they want, but why do we want to enlarge a liberal platform?
Problem is my entire family has moved to Facebook and they won’t leave.

My participation in Facebook has fallen pretty sharply as well. While I have a modest number of friends on Facebook, I do not post there any more, and only visit when I get e-mail notification that one of my friends has posted something of possible interest, to which I may or may not make a comment (usually something quite pithy).
And I have NEVER joined Twitter, as I do not even have a phone with texting capability. At my age, I do not want a phone smarter than I am. And who can handle those little bitty keyboards, anyway?

I’m with you,alloy. To text on my little keyboard I bought a small stylus that plugs into the headphone port. I don’t use it much but have it when I need it.
