Fifteen years after the carnage of 9/11, American foreign policy is still mired in its fossilized dogmas and dangerous delusions. The consequences are obvious. Iran, the worlds foremost state sponsor of terrorism and long an avowed enemy of the United States, has filled the vacuum of our ignominious retreat from the Middle East, even as the mullahs move ever closer to possessing nuclear weapons. Russia, Irans improbable ally, bombs civilians in Syria, kills the Syrian fighters we have trained, bullies its neighbor Ukraine, consolidates its take-over of the Crimea, and relentlessly pursues its interests with disregard for international law and contempt for our feeble protests. Iraq, for which thousands of Americans bled and died, is now a puppet state of Iran. Afghanistan is poised to be overrun by the Taliban in a few years, and ISIS, al Qaeda 2.0, continues to inspire franchises throughout the world and to murder European and American citizens.

Why are we training Syrian terrorists?
I believe that Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were completely complicit in allowing 9/11 to happen. The Clintons and the Bushes—all of them—have been collaborators in crimes for at least thirty years.
Agreed. They were all on the payroll of foreign powers.
I’ve read that border-jumpers are only charged with a misdemeanor -— WTF??!!!
War is profit and America better learn their troops are only sent to endless war for profit. We got to Baghdad in 19 days and we can’t stop a small pickup truck army?
I’d put Saudi Arabia ahead of Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism, though I know we’re not supposed to say it.
Imagine a time machine.
Imagine taking an American from Sept 12 2001 and bringing them to today.
Barack Hussein Obama has been president for 8 years.
His closest advisor is a Muslim born in Iran.
The Democrat nominee chosen to replace him is inseparable from her Muslim Brotherhood handler.
The head of the CIA is a Muslim.
We just gave $1.7B to Iran to further their development of a nuclear weapon.
We have helped overthrow most secular regimes in the Middle East and replaced them with fundamentalist Muslim regimes.
The time traveler would only have one question: “How did we lose the war?”
Russia is killing Syrian fighter “ we “ have trained
Bruce fails to mention they are Aka ISIS and Nusra - Al Qaeda in Syria
Not even going into who instigated regime change in ukraine and to what effect, or what the US Navy is doing to provoke Russia just off its coast and why
They flew occupied planes into occupied buildings and the country apologized to them for putting those evil buildings in the way of those innocent pilots out for a pleasant flight, and made their entire religion a government-certified privileged victim group with the right to come in to this country and do whatever they want without retribution.
All goes back to the Saudis and the protection of the petro dollar in support of deficit financing.
Invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity.
But the looney lefties wouldn't let us do it.
Other than Osama bin laden himself, the man most responsible for the attacks of 9/11 is Bill Clinton. He was offered obl on a platter by the Saudis but declined, declined on another occasion to assassinate him, and impotently prosecuted terrorist acts via the court system while spending more time and effort going after Bill Gates and Microsoft.
Bush was only President for 8 months. There is no way he could spin up a vast conspiracy in that amount of time.
Some people are just too desperate to blame Bush for everything.
For now until Mr. Trump gets in.
Besides OBL also put the blame on Mr. Clinton for helping make September 11, 2001 a reality.
Trump/Pence 2016.
Bush was in office 6 months how was he complicit?
Not even 8 months thanks to the douch bags in Florida he took office in February.
America isn’t asleep. It was euthanized - by Saudi cash and the Patriot Act.
Iran’s biggest vulnerability right now is unusual.
They have a large number of large, energy producing water dams. Destroy several of those and their economy, and nuclear weapons production, is crippled.
