The story says this Platt River Network guy KNEW of the order of Congress, and went "against the guidance given by both Clinton’s and Platte River’s attorneys to retain all data in compliance with a congressional preservation request.”

This seems like a slam-dunk case for jail time, and Congress should be bounced out on its ass if that does NOT HAPPEN!!!
How much time behind bars can Congress award to him?

While I believe Justice doesn’t have any standing to reverse a preservation order of Congress, Justice would have to handle any prosecution that would arise from a Congressional contempt citation. This is where Justice can offer immunity, just as it did when they declined to prosecute Lois Lerner.

However, any IT guy worth his salt, probably has his bacon covered by making copies of the material he was supposed to delete. This gives him his golden “get out of jail” ticket.

Look for this guy to have his attorney approach Chaffetz with a proffer.
