Hillary Clintons campaign is working the refs hard when it comes to reports about her health.
While Clinton responded to a fit of coughing this week with humor, saying she was allergic to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, her aides and surrogates played the role of bad cop.
Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill took to task an NBC reporter who wrote about the coughing spell, posting on Twitter that the writer should get a life.
The five-paragraph story, by Andrew Rafferty, was titled Hillary Clinton fights back coughing attack and reported that the frog in Clintons throat on Monday was one of the most aggressive shes had during her 2016 run.
Jon Favreau, a former speechwriter for President Obama, asked via Twitter if anyone on NBC, or anywhere else, was willing to defend the piece.
The pushback signaled that Clintons campaign intends to sharply counterattack news organizations that take questions about her health seriously.
Theyre trying to work the refs a little bit as they try to push back on the mainstream medias willingness to pick up on some of this stuff thats usually left to the fringes, Clinton surrogate Jim Manley explained.
The Drudge Report and other conservative media sites have largely driven the coverage of Clintons health, following the concussion she suffered in late 2012 and years before she announced her intention to run again for president.
But Manley said the Democrats camp has seen the coverage bleeding to the mainstream media in recent weeks.
After Trump insinuated recently that Clinton wasnt healthy, the campaign responded forcefully, ripping Trump allies for concocting fake documents from Clintons doctor.

LOL, great pic
Or you'll have to deal with ME!!!
Please tell me this is a humor type of pic. If legit, there are some real problems and I sure as heck would not want to be on that plane or anywhere around her.
Or “when” she becomes president, they’ll be excluded from the good cocktail parties and flying with her on Air Force One.
Omg that is good!!!
And it’s well-documented that Bill passed on several chances to take out OBL. Funny how that story changed post-9/11 to Bush’s military having OBL in their sites and choosing to not pull the trigger. The truth is, with Rumsfeld, Bush, and Cheney in charge, somebody would’ve been court-martialed for NOT pulling the trigger.
It really strikes me how, in a lot of pics and footage, Hillary’s face is as white as a Secret Serviceman’s shirt. When her face is showing normal color, I’d wager that there’s a lot of makeup involved (I’m sure she’s paying some homo from Este Lauder $1,000/day for that).
on Twitter - yet.
But I’m thinking about it... :)
For instance, if there was a terrorist attack or a natural disaster in Blabla City, search Blabla City. And the cool thing is that under All Tweets, you will see amazing first tweets from people right there as it is happening. You will see tweets in all languages. I love this instant world wide connection when something is going on.
Another great way to use Twitter is to search what you are watching. Maybe you are watching a new episode or new show. You want to see real time reviews, how are others liking this? Search for it and see. Maybe you are watching a sports game, and did anyone else see what that ref missed?? Is he blind?? So you search it on Twitter and see that others noticed the same thing. Of course it’s huge for seeing how people are responding to debates or political events.
If you want your funny bone tickled, you may see a list of what is trending, and some are funny #hashtags that might amuse you to click on and read. The other day there was one called #hackingHillary.
Twitter is a pretty huge swath of society. Lots of active conservatives, but lots of really dumb libs.
Unless it is important for your industry, you don’t need to “curate a feed” and follow people. I’m too busy and I don’t want to waste time scrolling a bunch of crap. I LOVE Twitter even if I only search something two times a week. It’s a great connection device if you use IT rather than it using YOU.
Exactly!!!
She should NEVER utter ANY reference to 9/11 OR Benghazi. The beeotch said ‘not one single American life was lost in the Libyan action’.
She spouts her unbelievable remarks, then goes on to lie and distort the truth....about her whoppers.
She’s playing every move straight out of her Alinsky BFF playbook. Well, I’m sick of the lying, criminal enterprise Clintons and their worn out playbook.
These morons seem to be children in grown-up bodies ( I assume.)
"I wonder if NBC, or Favreau or anyone else is willing to defend Favreau's wondering that any opinion about any subject of his choice needs defending.
A interesting thing to watch.
Her diet probably sucks and there’s no indication she gets outdoor exercise aside from the photo op of walking the dog in her mumu, so she probably does resemble a corpse as far as complexion I bet.
If there's nothing wrong with Madam Hillary Benghazi, other than being the full blown psychopath we've always know her to be, she can immediately quiet this controversy by releasing her medical records - and NOT fake or doctored records a la Hussein's BC.
I think she looks like a fair-haired early Paula Jones in that pic. Maybe it’s just an “Arkansas look?”
If she used her ill health as an excuse during questioning, then it and her are fair game.
HINO...that’s great.
“This whole thing really is making me think of the Star Trek TOS episode Patterns of Force, with Hillary resembling John Gill to a great extent.”
The pictures of Hillary being hauled up steps by her handlers, the coughing fits, the odd clothing have all made me wonder if she isn’t an alien life form wearing Hillary’s skin, or at least her head and hands.
Perhaps something from a lower gravity world with a different atmosphere...the clothing reminds me of something a Romulan or Cardassian would wear...just sayin’.
And poor old Bill looks like something has been feeding on him, draining the life force....
