Chemotherapy warning as hundreds die from cancer-fighting drugs (cancer drugs may kill up to 50 % patients)

Patients should be warned about the dangers of chemotherapy after research showed that cancer drugs are killing up to 50 per cent of patients in some hospitals.
For the first time researchers looked at the numbers of cancer patients who died within 30 days of starting chemotherapy, which indicates that the medication is the cause of death, rather than the cancer.
In Milton Keynes the death rate for lung cancer treatment was 50.9 per cent, although it was based on a very small number of patients.
Deaths of lung cancer patients from chemotherapy were also far higher than the national average in Blackpool, Coventry, Derby, South Tyneside and Surrey and Sussex, according to the research.
Similarly, around one in five people who underwent palliative care for breast cancer at Cambridge University Hospitals died from their treatment.
Public Health England (PHE), said it had contacted the hospitals concerned to ask them to review practices.
More than 1,300 breast and lung cancer patients died because of chemotherapy in 2014, the study shows Chemotherapy is toxic for the body because it does not discriminate between healthy and cancerous cells.
They advised doctors to be more careful in selecting patients for treatment where it could do more harm than good.
I think its important to make patients aware that there are potentially life threatening downsides to chemotherapy. And doctors should be more careful about who they treat with chemotherapy.
Professor David Cameron, Edinburgh Cancer Centre, Western General Hospital, added: The concern is that some of the patients dying within 30 days of being given chemo probably shouldnt have been given the chemo.
The research was published in The Lancet Oncology.

I don’t think there is any one cause nor is there any one type of cancer. It can be genetic, it can be environmental. Sometimes chemo works, sometimes radiation works, sometimes immunotherapy. It depends on the person and the cause. No one type of treatment will fit all.
Mrs. henkster was lucky; the doctors hit upon a course of treatment, still considered experimental, that the insurance company bought into...and saved her life.
I still remember the one night after she and the boys had gone to bed, and I sat up thinking about the meeting we’d had with her doctors that day. They had already gone through a round of surgeries and were starting chemo, and they were discussing the possibility of the autologous stem cell transplant. In my profession I’ve had to gain skill on reading people, and as I went over our consultation in my mind, I realized...
...they don’t think she’s gonna make it.
And that’s when I really got scared. One of the worst nights of my life.
I’ve never shared this with my wife.
It wouldn’t be the first time doctors deliberately murdered massive quantities of people, but I don’t think that’s the case.
The hardest things about cancers is if you are well read about prevention and siblings or loved ones are not knowledgeable. They are getting sick and you are staying well.
No guarantees but you start out living others. It feels weird.
What can you do? You cannot convince non-readers that they are hurting themselves.
You can only be supportive in a positive direction. Healthy requires a lot of incremental small changes. One by one. But I have no delusions many of my relatives currently or will have preventable problems. ... SIGH ... God bless.
It would be nice if that were true. We could just read our way to immortality. Only ignorant people would get cancer, heart disease and strokes. But here in the real world, even intelligent people get sick and die.
I’ve had a couple of friends who died while on chemo.
I read an interesting article about this not long ago, by a doctor.
As some have stated, chemo is the process of injecting poisons into the body repeatedly in an effort to kill cancer cells.
It also kills normal cells. Chemo is very damaging to the body, it gradually destroys the internal organs, and eventually it will seriously compromise the immune system.
When the immune system is sufficiently compromised, cancer can spread to other areas of the body, and usually does, virtually everywhere in many cases.
That is why if it doesn’t kill you immediately, it will eventually kill you in the long run, and since it’s actually the spreading cancer caused by chemo, the doctors can claim cancer actually killed the patient. When they know it was actually the long term chemo that did the job.
Yes, in some cases it does work, but it’s no picnic.
It may pertain to me if I could afford treatment.
If or when I have a diagnosed cancer... I don’t care.
They can TAKE EVERYTHING that the EX left me with and it might cover the initial treatment but I would have no place to live, nothing to eat ... what is the point/reason.
We all are gonna go, some can afford to extend their stay others embrace the journey.
Thank God. So pleased all worked out for you. You are truly blessed.
Blessed.
So sweet. God Bless you both.
I’m not surprised. My mom had lung cancer and she passed away last October, right after her last chemo treatment. She collapsed in the bathroom, and it turns out her heart just gave out. Miss her everyday, but if it wasn’t the chemo it was going to be the cancer.. can’t dwell on that anymore.
Should have looked these up before posting...

Some repeated quotes in several links, and much of the info repeated, but I Posted a few links to show it’s not just one wacko alarmist site posting this information.
I’ll have to do some looking, but I know that at least two cancer cures have been suppressed in the past century, Essiac and Laetrile. Look them up. Both had very good success rates, Laetrile had a 80% success rate both preventing and curing a number of forms of cancer. Dr Krebs’ funding was shut off immediately after he released a preliminary report quoting that 80% figure.
Maybe they died because they had terminal cancer and 30 days was not long enough for the chemo to work.
and no, I am not fond of chemo.
The cancer news story I cited is noteworthy in that for the FIRST time, the UK’s NHS has officially conducted a study of chemo mortality within the first 30 days of treatment, as reported in The Lancet medical journal.
Im very familiar with both cancer “cures” you mention.
It can be a tough call to recommend that a loved one go the holistic route when cancer threatens their life.
I am not aware of reliable clinical trial data proving the cancer treatment efficacy of Laetrile or Essiac.

Rory Feek interview. Idiots still can’t get it that colon cancer is the cause of death, not Cervical cancer which just kicked it off.

Gail, thank you for taking the time and effort to post details about Mrs. Feek’s but with cancer.
Very sad and a reminder how fragile life is.
Very best health to you and your loved ones.
RE: Joey Feek’s cancer fight
Said that type of cancer did not respond to Chemo or Radiation, so only solution was remove and move forward. Was back on my feet and at work in less than a month with no ill effects.
I thank God every day for early detection and the miracle of life.
I am Very sorry for the loss of your mother.
Thank you for telling us what you both went thru.
You’ve reminded us / me the thing which really matters is precious time spent with our loved ones.
