Hillary Clinton purchased some of the BlackBerries she used as secretary of state on eBay, Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz said on Wednesday.
Thats what she liked, so she did it. It creates this huge vulnerability. And its unnecessary, Chaffetz, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said during a forum hosted by the American Enterprise Institute.
The forum was held to discuss last years hack of the Office of Personnel Management.
I dont want to get into this too much, but part of what was happening with the secretary of state is, she was acquiring technology that wasnt even supported by BlackBerry. You couldnt buy it. She was actually buying this stuff off of eBay because somebody was selling their old machine, Chaffetz said.
Clinton used at least eight different BlackBerries while in office, according to the FBIs email investigation report, released last week. None were provided by the State Department. In contrast, Clintons circle of aides and all other State Department employees used a government-issued device.
When Clinton first took office, she requested a government BlackBerry similar to one that the National Security Agency built for President Obama. But when the request was rejected, she continued using a private device that was hooked up to her private email server.
The State Department made other offers to provide Clinton with agency-issued hardware later in her tenure, but was rebuffed.
Neither Clinton nor her attorneys were able to provide old BlackBerries to federal investigators. It is unclear where they went, though one aide to Bill Clinton told investigators that he smashed at least two of the devices with a hammer.
It is also unclear exactly how Clintons purchase of used BlackBerries put her communications at greater risk. Some of those questions may be answered in House hearings scheduled for this week and next. Chaffetzs committee is holding a hearing on Thursday regarding the State Departments handling of Freedom of Information Act requests. And next week, FBI director James Comey is slated to testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee.

Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
She probably went to Good Will and bought the underwear she and her consort donated.
“The two of them are worth $111 million combined.Im worth much,*much* less and would never buy a used cell phone.”
It was all for her convenience. She did not want to learn a slightly different operating system or controls.
So she insisted on the old Blackberry, in spite of grave security risks, so she did not have to learn a new command.
The left has always denied that there is any real external threat to the United States. That is why she never worried.
What? Those oppressed Russians or Chinese or Iranians would do something bad to the U.S.? It could never happen. They are “progressive” and “oppressed” and the U.S. is the cause of all the problems in t he world!
Should add a /S to the last sentence.
That is a tiresome meme . . . $500 ash trays for military planes. The trouble with that meme is that - certainly in the case of the ash tray - the problem is not that the tray cost too much, but that the contractor is losing money on it.
You could easily pay that kind of money for an ash tray for a Ferrari or such. For government work, bureaucratic rules guarantee that you cant make money charging $500 for an item you had to design and get past the paperwork burden, and then only make a dozen or so items.
My brother told of a case where he explained to his boss how to solve a problem by simply using a scale model of the aircraft with which an issue had arisen. In preparation for a trip to Washington to see his boss, the guy went out to a hobby shop and bought the model, paying for it out of pocket. He could certainly have bought it through government channels and saved himself the money - but the paperwork would have delayed the project by months, and cost the government far more than the price of the item.
But if he had gone that route, there would be a paper trail proving that the government had not been cheated. </irony>
Interesting.
She bought USED thinking they were UNTRACEABLE!.................
Hillary Clinton treats national security like someone playing Russian Roulette with an automatic...............
That LQQKs LIKE bear scat!.........
No credit card trail
We have a WINNER!
Hillary will skate again on this issue.
JUST ONE QUESTION:
IS IT IN ‘THE WOODS’?..................
PAY-PAL IS a TRAIL...................
What a novel way to conduct espionage! Instructions to the agent via e-bay sales. I read something about spies using this method to exchange cyphers. It is tradecraft. Hillary might have been involved in espionage! The FBI must investigate this thoroughly.
Excuse being given to dumb Hillary that they would be harder to trace for her own double dealings.
Stupid, drunken Hillary didn't know she was being double, double crossed.
I found this on the internet not in the woods!
She used her private server for 100% of her emailing
so what difference does it make if her devices were secure?
“pre-compromised cell phones”
...
Hmmmmm . . .
or she did know that a pre-compromised cell phone would send all her communications sent on that device (one of many devices) to the agent she knew had compromised the phone . . . without emails or any other traceable comm path to said agent.
As said, not a gov’t device, not traceable, the FBI did not find it, could not therefore discover if there was “malware” on it or to whom the comms were sent.
Ingenious. Not that Hillary thought of it.
The extent of the actual corruption, treason, and depravity have unknowable depths.
Thank the Lord for Trump! And Assange even though even he can’t expose what was on those cell phones which remain missing.
So many cell phones! So many hidden agents to whom Hillary shared State secrets?
The above is logical speculation, a theory, but not a conspiratorial one.
Apply the logic of the Razor. Her granny ineptitude at wanting a familiar phone (one maybe, but not this many!) does not succinctly explain such subterfuge.
THANKS FOR THE CLUE!~
