Earlier this year, Carlsen admitted in an interview with Norwegian TV-channel TV2 that he was "a huge fan" of US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, something seldom uttered in Norway, where the mainstream media are strictly pro-Clinton and where Donald Trump is a standing subject of ridicule.
Last week-end, however, the controversy flared up anew, as Carlsen's supposed sympathies with Trump were addressed again in his interview with Spain's second largest newspaper El Mundo. Carlsen expressed displeasure with how his words had been "twisted and turned," while at the same time snubbing Norwegian political correctness.
"A few months ago I joked about the upcoming US election. I said I liked Trump's style, I said he was funny, maybe because does not argue in a rational way, or because he's good at putting names on things [like 'crooked Hillary', arguably the most well-known 'trumpism']. The next day all the newspaper headlines read 'Carlsen supports Trump.' In my home county, political correctness dominates everything. We should be more open," Carlsen told El Mundo.

You know, the media around the world has been completely subverted by leftists.
It is pretty bad, when you get voices of reason, speaking from the former Soviet Union.
They are ALL LEFTISTS. Every last one of them. Except for Fox News, but they are all globalists.
When Trump becomes our next president, I for one really look forward to our media, and their constant bias to one side, becoming the source of endless controversy.
I wondered how it was that our media had become so blatant in its bias, and how it might just turn back to normalcy.
I think that will be driven by Trump.
It is about time. For real.
The media is totally controlled except for Drudge and Free Republic and some Christian sites and some individual blogs. But like the conservative Kevin Jackson says-—when he posts things on Facebook—he gets censored for 30 days and when back on-—his videos get removed and it starts all over again.
It all goes back to Wittgenstein and Fichte and the Germans in the 1800s—they knew if you can control Words and information you make SLAVES of the masses. (Actually Socrates knew the power of rhetoric too).

Without Truth, we have no Free Will-—no ability for choice. Same with the Hegelian Dialectic (false choice)-—put into effect in our schools, literature, etc., by the late 50s to create the Revolution in the 60s which was the complete takeover of all the important universities/textbooks/Justice System, etc. and WORDS/IDEAS that are REPEATED OVER AND OVER so they will become the “truth” even though they are LIES.
Fox News is part of the Dialectic-—on the Right, of course—but they all sold their soul for fame and money and power. People end up like Scalia and Brietbart inside the Dialectic, if they won’t take orders from the psychotic sodomites (Ba’al Worshippers who Fund every important group/institution and who have bribed all the important judges for a century (except Scalia and Thomas and maybe Alioto.)
We are in serious trouble if the internet gets taken over-—it is 80 percent controlled now—maybe more. Once we have no ability to hear truth (which is non-existent in public schools by the way)-—we are DONE for good——no more America-—back to the Dark Ages.
