They talk about “hottest summer in history” or somesuch formulation all the time.

1) We lacked really good scientific measurements until pretty recently in history.
2) We didn’t extend our scientific scrutiny to a truly global level until extremely recently in history.
3) Today, we actually have precise satellite data for the globe — and now we choose to ignore that data because it’s inconvenient.

Science should be ashamed. It’s not science at all. It’s scientism. It’s politics.

We’re back to the notion that Pi should be assessed as equal to 3 because it would make a lot of math so much easier.

The weather is screwed up.

The magnetic poles are moving and the jetstreams are affected.

Someone dared to publish data before it was properly fudged?

Earlier this morning I looked at the 90 day forecast for my area. We are in for below 90 temps for the remainder of the year, so it looks like we are in for a nice long autumn. Daytime temps in the 70s and 80s through October.

Some years we go from summer to winter in September. Other years summer hangs around through September and into October. Some years the spring or autumn are short. Other times they lengthy.

This year the grass never turned brown from dry and heat and the apt complex does not water it. We would get enough rain that is stayed greenish all summer. Other years, it has turned brown by early June and didn’t turn green until October.

We adjust. The seasons are never constant. They vary. Sometimes we have sort winters or summers. Other times we have long winters or summers.

This past winter I do not recall any winter lows below the upper teens. This summer, I do not recall hitting 100. Both were relatively mild.

I was at the Doctor’s office early this morning. They had GMA on.

WE HAD A HURRICANE AND ALMOST NO ONE ON FR NOTICED.

According to GMA Hurricane Hermine moved into Flordia and is heading up the East Coast. At 50 mph now, it rather quickly devolved into a tropical storm.

There is also Hurricane Lester in the Pacific that is supposed to skirt Hawaii.

Satellites are obviously bias!

We MUST instead trust the readings taken by the environmental nut job who was tied to a tree last week.

On record - that's what you need to pay attention to.

What if "on record" means the last 150 years? Okay, what was the temperature 160 years ago? 180? 300? 600?

No one knows. There are plenty of geographic areas on Earth that were once under water. Now they are not, and they became NOT long before industrialization.

Climate always changes, ebbs and flows hot and cold. What people do has nothing to do with it.

The DMSP spacecraft has been recording Earth’s temperature for decades. It shows a cooling, not a warming.
