On Wednesday, Sept. 7, NBC News and MSNBC — along with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America — will host the “The Commander-in-Chief Forum” in New York City.
It will be one-hour forum where Clinton and Trump will answer questions about national security, military affairs and veterans issues in front of an audience mainly made up of members of the military. The two candidates will not be on the stage at the same time, but will instead go back to back.
It’s worth nothing that Lauer is listed as a “notable past member” on the Clinton Global Initiative’s website — along with Anderson Cooper and Katie Couric.
In the past, a Clinton Foundation official has said that the journalists who are part of the foundation were never asked to pay the $20,000 member fee.
“In fact, in 2012, we reclassified members of the media who participate as ‘guests’ rather than ‘members’ to acknowledge this distinction,” the official has said.

So Matt Lauer, Clinton Global member will be moderating. That’s fine. The first point of order should be pointing out that he gave at least $20,000 to the Clintons to join their inner circle. Apparently he was invited to the privilege. You maybe also can get invited if the money is right. Trump should address Lauer’s Clinton Foundation in his first comment. Maybe ask Lauer about the amount of money exchanged.
Trump should actually go along with however it starts, wait a few minutes in, THEN ask Matt Lauer about his Clinton Foundation connections. Then wait, and after he denies or comes up with his excuse, Trump should drop some proof from a liberal media source. Pause again... Then ask Lauer if he thinks this is fair, that Lauer could in ANY way be impartial. Look into the camera to us, the American people, and say, “Can you believe this, people?”

This is okay. Trump can set the whole agenda by immediately identifying Laurer as a Clinton Crime Family member.

One suspects that Hillary and her team have already delivered the questions and follow-ups to the obedient Mister Lauer.
I wish you were being sarcastic, but we have already seen and will see the most blatant media bias in history in the next two months. They are not even trying to hide it as they have done in the past.
The playing field will not be level with the MSM, but make no mistake about the identity and purpose of this organization. It serves George Soros - not our military veterans.
FWIW - Trump kicks a$$ on military stuff. It is one of his strongest planks in my book. Hopefully that will come through even as the media twists the news coverage to put him in a bad light.

He will be fair and ask the same questions of both candidates, e.g.:
Mr. Trump: “Are you a woman hating racist bigot?”
Mrs. Clinton: “Is Trump a woman hating racist bigot?”
