Contradicting Trump, Mexican president says he made it clear Mexico will not pay for a border wall
(Excerpt) Read more at latimes.com ...
Yup. The mental midgets don’t understand the cost of supporting illegals and the cost of drugs destroying American lives.
the American people will end up paying for the wall though higher tariffs and prices on imported goods. Is someone forcing us to buy imported goods from Mexico?
It’s in the article linked in the #1 reply.
Here’s the short version:
“Reid J. Epstein ;@reidepstein · 3h3 hours ago
EPN spox to @davidluhnow: EPN told Trump no wall $$, Trump didnt react. “Mr. Trump was not lying ... because there was no discussion.” “
(’EPN spox’ is Mexican President’s spokesman)
“Are people really mental midgets they cant figure it out.”
Well, Pena NIeto sure as hell has the midget bit down pat. The pictures looked like a man and a child! Pena Nieto reminds me of a the joke about the flea floating down river on his back with an erection yelling “raise the bridge, I’m coming through!”
Why you survived on this forum will forever escape me.
“Once we stop illegals from entering the country and we start deporting the ones we have, we no longer have to spend billions of dollars a year taking care of them.”
Nah, Trump will get a check, or he will cut off so much of their lifeblood of money coming from this country that they will go bust! The little bastard will write the check.
But the point is, they both agree that there is going to be a wall.
Cut off the foreign aid we give to Mexico. Stop benefits and welfare to illegals in the US.
That would make a start with the wall.
A border security fee is no different than airport security fee.
Tell that lying SOB that if he doesn’t stop saying they’re not going to pay for the wall, we’ll make ‘em pay double, triple, how high does he want to go?
The LA times has been just a mouthpiece for the illegal invasion of America for decades.
all we do is charge a fee for money (western Union, paypal )going to latin america. done
That's exactly right. That's what Trump has been saying from the very beginning. He's using "the art of the deal". Trump knows he has Mexico over an economic barrel when it comes to the billions remitted to Mexico by their citizens living in this country.
They'll pay for that damn wall because they owe us that damn wall.
And Trump said they didn’t discuss the issue - it’ll be settled later - libs are desperate when they try to say that a simple statement that Mexico wouldn’t pay is equivalent to a “discussion”.....
There seems to be a lot of these dickhead trolls like him on FR lately.
They lurk around waiting to attack and skewer FReepers and never add a thing to the discussions.
Our third world press is at it again.
To have a discussion on anything there has to be dialogue back and forth. The Mex prez said he told Trump and that is what he did. Made his opening statement and Trump made his and didn’t need to say anything about it because he has already said it all.
Yes. A policy adviser was on Howie Carr’s show today and said as much. 35% tax.
Tariffs tax the many to support the few. Which few? Politicians decide. It’s equivalent to a dollar devaluation and decrease in living standard.
And it we don’t have the politicians or government of 1790 anymore.
Of course not, but Trump's tariffs do mean a lower standard of living for American consumers who are used to buying the best quality for the lowest price regardless of the source. That's the free market and it works. Tariffs never were nor never will be the answer because tariffs do not address the CAUSE of business fleeing America to begin with which is THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
What drives business elsewhere are higher costs (and, therefore, higher prices, and, therefore, lower demand) forced on business by federal minimum wage, federal regulations, federal protection of unions, and high federal taxes. Get rid of those things, and America will be in a competitive position with the rest of the world just like she used to be before the feds got their ugly mitts on our economy.
Nevertheless, Trump is basing his projections of Mexico "paying" for the wall by expecting enough import tariffs which American distributors and consumers will actually pay.
