How good were the remarks? Well, lets just say we can fully anticipate the liberal U.S. media to go into combat mode; because candidate Donald J Trump articulated a full-throated, unapologetic and yet resoundingly diplomatic America-First message to Mexican President Peña Neito .
.and thats what he did publicly.

When Donald Trump and President Neito came to their collective podiums Trump was in hostile territory. Neito speaking Spanish without a formal translator provided, and without presenting his remarks in advance to candidate Donald Trump, was obviously speaking to his domestic audience more than an American one.
Yet somehow, after Neitos lengthy and highly politically nuanced comments Trump was able to simply fillet the parseltongue using fewer, stronger, and far more deliberate words.
It really was stunning to witness.
For the first time in decades a foreign diplomat was standing on a stage with an American politician whose essential DNA is unapologetically American. Trump does not pretend himself to be, nor is he, a life time career politician. In essence he is the globalists worst nightmare.

A remarkable contrast not just optics, but in the recognition of a new strong and bold beginning for a very probable Trump presidency.
Trumps remarks begin at 45:33 video (prompted):
The remarks by Donald Trump were so succinctly on-point the U.S. media are left with no other option than to attack ridiculous details viciously. Apparently the U.S. media were anticipating that Mexico would cut a check for the border wall today . or something similarly silly.
Quite frankly, most of the the MSM have never known a patriotic president. Candidate Trumps mere existence cuts against the very fabric of their educational teaching.
However, all you need to see to recognize who held the stronger authority in this meeting is the immediate triggered reaction from Univisions Jorge Ramos:

Awesome. He looked more presidential than Hillary ever could. This was a masterstroke campaign move.
Outstanding job. What a few weeks he’s put together.
Totally agree.
This has Steve Bannon written all over it.
This guy is already President Trump.
He put everyone to task - by putting himself to task. I LOVE IT.
This guy is our new Reagan, without a doubt.
President Trump !
Bannon may have advocated it, but Trump pulled it off. Good teamwork!
El Presidente is not happy. He looks like Jeb when The Donald swatted him in the debates.
Did he hang a ‘The Office of the President-Elect seal’?
Keep it(industry) "our hemisphere". What?! Donald, what happened to you?
Yes, Trump is getting his monies worth with Bannon, it has been a good run since he started.
Oh - Hillary - where are you?......
There was a “live” thread going and I made the comment there that Trump looked more like a statesman than a politician. Comments made in this thread seem to be in agreement.
I thought he did a great job, I’m watching a replay right now and it looks like he’s reading it from a sheet of paper, which is fine with me. He stayed on track, made some excellent points...and looked more in control than the President of the country he’s in.
I’ve said all along he has what it takes to be a great president, i think he’s been proving it the past couple of weeks. Several great speeches, a trip to Louisiana that made both Obama and Hillary look bad, this trip he got the jump on Hillary and made her look like she’s late to the party, and came across as a competent statesmen, on his very first interaction with a foreign leader.
Folks, we have a leader here...get used to saying President Trump...
Dear Washington,
America is coming,
and they’re bringing Donald J Trump.
Nieto just got his a$$ handed to him.
Why no Hillary?
Elevation, Mexico City: 7,350 feet.
Another piece of the news cycle stolen by Trump.
Trump will build the wall..... "Who's going to pay for it?.........Mexico!"
Gotta love this election and gotta love Trump!
The libs are going to be screaming bloody murder about this very soon like they did when they found out Trump was going after African American vote, and are going to try to minimize Trump's Triumph now anyway that they can.
Mark my words: Trump will go to China/Japan before this campaign is over.
damn I forgot...he went to Mexico as an adversary, at least judging by his comments on the campaign trail, and Nieto’s reactions, and came out of the meeting with what looks a lot like an ally.
Can’t beat that with a stick...
