Ever since reporting emerged that Trump might be softening his stance on deportations last weekend, the press has been trying mightily to figure out whether Trump still plans on deploying a deportation force to rid the country of undocumented immigrants, and this morning, Chris Wallace was the latest to try and get a straight answer out of the campaign. Conway seemed to send mixed messages, telling Wallace that there would be no legalization and no amnesty, but also making a rather unclear point about Trump and the deportation force: Now, the deportation force, I would like to address that. He hasnt mentioned that since last November, I think in a few of the debates as you point out. In his convention speech last month, hes consistent on that now in terms of addressing these many different areas of a complex issue. What Conway seems to be saying, then, is that while Trump will take no steps to legalize any of the undocumented immigrants who are already here, he also wont use a deportation force to deport them, and that if you go back to your home country, you can apply to come back legally. That sounds an awful lot like self-deportation, but we wont know for sure until Trump delivers on his now-delayed immigration speech, and even then, probably not. Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway appeared to diminish the role of Breitbart News chairman and Trump campaign CEO Steve Bannon Sunday morning in an interview with Fox News Sundays Chris Wallace. When pressed about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clintons speech blasting Trumps courtship of the racist alt-right, Conway told Wallace that shes in charge, and Bannon is a mere consultant...

Was that one giant run on sentance? She must have been out of breath.
She know how to spin. That is for sure.
I wish somebody would bring into the public’s view that several years ago, a President of the USA DEPORTED 6 MILLION PEOPLE OUT OF AMERICA.
His name was President Eisenhower - and it was after WWII.
DON’T ANYBODY TELL ME WE CAN’T DO IT AGAIN.
“...a President of the USA DEPORTED 6 MILLION PEOPLE OUT OF AMERICA.”
I just checked; the population of the U. S. in 1955 was 165 million. So, to project percentages, that 6 million would be 12 million today.
By the way, just to look around, there are much more than just 11 million illegals here today. I am constantly amazed at the number of people, including Limbaugh and Hannity, who mindlessly parrot that number. It has been out there for 10 years.
Mass deportation. Not that it can’t be done, but will it be done. That is the question. And she tiptoed around it with Wallace never giving a clear answer.
>I wish somebody would bring into the publics view that several years ago, a President of the USA DEPORTED 6 MILLION PEOPLE OUT OF AMERICA.
Total deportations under operation wetback was only about 300k. The rest got the hint and left on their own.
From day 1 Trump has said that he is flexible and that he is a great negotiator. His negotiating style is always to start farther from his real position.
Why are both some supporters and some opponents now acting surprised as if he is changing who he is? He is still the same great flexible negotiator. Right?
Not arguing your point, but would like to add the caveat that Americans are much more divided than in Eisonhower’s time. Back then it was pretty much, good vs evil or white vs black.
Today we argue over Transgendered bathrooms for weeks on end as an example of dividedness. It’s crazy!
So .. the point was made .. you can wait and be deported, or you can leave.
THEY LEFT. That is the point. You don’t have to deport them all .. what you have to do is show them your intent and they will see the writing on the wall.
As soon as you stop letting them through .. the message will be passed on .. THERE IS NO WAY THROUGH THE NEW WALL.
I heard Allen West on Brian Kilmeades radio show a few days ago and he said Trump should just say we already have a mass deportation force. “ICE.” He also said Trump should say he is just now getting into all the complicated nuances of peeling that onion when the press is trying to pin him down on all the details. I get tired of hearing Trump has no constitutional authority to deport people without going through court cases one by one. That is bogus.
Bill Clinton deported over 12 million.
Bush 2 deported over 10 million.
It was done in the past and can be done again. maybe this time we can keep them out.
Well .. maybe she doesn’t want to tip off the left what they have been talking about.
I don’t know why some feel it is the obligation for all the Republicans to ALWAYS TELL WHAT THEY ARE PLANNING ON DOING.
I guess I don't understand why we wouldn't.
But for me, at the top of the list transparency and clarity of what we can expect comes to mind. In that way we can can hold them accountable and there is no wiggle room because of weasel words.
The Clinton Campaign Media wants him to let them know what he is thinking, doing, saying, and he won't do that, now or when he is in the White House...
Your either with Trump to Save America or your with Hillary to Destroy America...your choice...mine: Trump/Pence all the way!!!
She is very good....love how she smiles at the end. She is too cute and smart to be destroyed on screen. They tried...LOL. and I love how she gets the digs (truth) in about evil Hillary—all with a smile.
Hard to stick with the “MEAN Republican” meme that has been perpetuated non-stop, since Goldwater, with Kellyanne as the face of party. Great choice by Trump!
I’m talking about STRATEGY .. why are the Republicans to reveal their strategy, but the DemocRATS never are required to do the same.
Part of the reason is that the MEDIA is so liberal/DemocRAT, they ask question of Repubs which are never asked of DemocRATS.
Kellyanne is NOT REQUIRED TO EXPOSE THE STRATEGY OF THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN .. it’s that simple .. get over it.
Not giving a clear answer IS a clear answer. You have to go thru some real mental gymnastics to think otherwise. She is good at what she does but she is no different than any other political operative. They all dodge questions and spin to repetitive talking points.
